Beware the Jabberwocky!

I bought'em for $18 a piece. that was the only way I was able to deadlift at home last night. I have 445lb at the moment, and should another 270 later today.

Four more plates != 270lb. It sounded like you were only going to buy four instead of six because you found two at the sporting goods store.

Oops I meant 180. Your assumption was correct. I'm only on my first cup of coffee.

If you want something solid for steel plates to bang off of, it might just be easiest to cut plywood into some small squares and stack them, maybe glue some together. It really doesn't have to very high off the ground, and that way you can adjust it easy by stacking more underneath them. Nail a narrow strip on the top sheet down on two opposite sides to make a catch to keep the bar from rolling too and fro. I've been stacking thick rubber mats lately for the same type of deal.

:50 Hike at Telegraph Pass w/ 50lb pack

I need a real backpack so the weight will sit at my hips. I tossed a 50lb bag of sand in an old day pack, not comfortable. Acquired flat bench & 4 x 45lb plates today. Hall of Justice is ready to rock.
