Overall assessment:


Limited wrestling offense - besides TDs from the body lock he doesn't have much else in his repertoire.

Excellent scrambles: This is his strong point

Decent TD defense: He gets taken down but resorts to scrambles to gain Top Possiiiish.

His scramble game might be the best in the UFC above 155. That's serious. His two teammates are the only ones who immediately come to mind as possibly being better, Cormier and Cain. His other teammate, Khabib is amazing at it too.
We could be looking at an AKA dynasty this time next year, it's unlikely but it could happen. They could realistically have four undisputed champs.

1. Romero fights best in the 3rd round so that gasses faster had no standing.

2. What's exactly does Weidman do better than Romero? Wrestling (where he usually holds a huge advantage)? No. Striking? No. Romero hits like a Mack truck and catches people. Anything else?

I'm not saying Weidman can't win but first glance should be leaning towards Romero.

However i have seen people claiming that Rockhold has the better grappling.

Both are obviously very good on the ground.

I'm not sure yet honestly, I have to better assess the fight but on another note I had Woodley over Lawler. You can go look at the official thread for that fight and I voted Woodley.
