Better armbar, Fedor or Ronda?

Well ...

I actually only care about the armbars that one of these two have finished fights with.
 
Ronda Rousey is using a very simple Gokor Chivechiyan and Gene Lebell setup for an armbar. Look at any technique demonstration from either those two its brilliant

Fedor's setups come from a little more unique angles and he has a lot more power in the technique.

And that was "all" I though Ogawa was, but he was also a world champion and shares the record for most medals won at the World Judo Championships. That armbar looked so easy...

Their three fights all had great finishes, two of them real quality armbars. GSP's was nice too.

Fedor was much smoother. He was fast and graceful. Rousey is more about brute force.

I know submissions aren't strength but Rousey can generally ragdoll anyone in the division, and put them in bad positions. Fedor was dealing with guys stronger than him. Rousey has to be the strongest and most explosive woman in the division. Most explosive without a doubt. Fedor didn't have those gifts.

Rousey's are more effective, but she had more tools and was fighting different people.

Fedor would armbar Tate, Carmouche and Kaufman
but Ronda would not armbar HMC, Lindland or Coleman
so Fedor

Basically R3's technique is so good it didn't matter.

She made adjustments on the fly (like crossing ankles) and got the tap anyway.

One fought against the best fighters in the world and defended the belt multiple times. The other fought tailor made fighters, sometimes more than once, and armbarred inferior competition
 
Well Ronda is way more enjoyable to watch just because... well i dont hate looking at her but I think opponent wise Fedor does take the cake. Especially how he took out hong man choi
 
From a pure armbar standpoint, I think Rowdy's is better. Maybe it's because so much attention is thrown it's way in comparison to her other facets of skill, it just seems to stand out a little more than Fedor's.

But, the speed and absolute blinding quickness that The Great One presented, specifically in the Ogawa, Choi, and Schall fights are worth their own weight in merit and deserve to be up there when mentioning the best armbars in the sport.
