Better armbar, Fedor or Ronda?

Fedor is one of my favorite fighters of all time, but I have to give this one to Ronda.

Relative to the competition put in front of them Ronda has an insane finish rate with her armbars. By the time she was in the UFC everyone knew she was going to armbar them and they trained full camps to stop it and were subsequently armbarred anyway. Meisha's arm looked like a twizzler by the time their match was over.

wait what? I don't think you can compare the caliber of Rhonda's opponents to Fedor's. The whole thing was everyone was waiting for someone with actual bjj knowledge to face her and stop it. And arm barring someone with a severe strength/weight/height advantage makes it A LOT harder.

But all goofing aside, I watched that fight. Olympic champs in judo and wrestling don't spend thousands of hours on every submission technique and defense, they spent all their early years training takedowns and point scoring catered to the olympics. For example, Josh Barnett submitted olympic gold medalists Nastula and Yoshida, but fails to even get positional control on "B level athletes".

Ronda Rousey is using a very simple Gokor Chivechiyan and Gene Lebell setup for an armbar. Look at any technique demonstration from either those two its brilliant

Fedor's setups come from a little more unique angles and he has a lot more power in the technique.

Rousey's arm bars are NOT simple. Her roll into armbar from mount is a rather complex move.

Rousey's armbars do not originate from Gokor and Lebell. She learned that move from Jimmy Pedro via Neil Adams.
