Speaking of Wilder to his credit he has a dangerous short straight right. He's deadly at a couple ranges (long & middle distance). He generally needs space to punch though. Kovalev is in the same boat. His signature shot, also the straight right hand, typically requires full extension as Ward showed. With big punchers like those two you can crowd/smother them. Opponents aren't afforded this with Beterbiev. He's very dangerous on the inside even in really tight spaces. He even prefers to be close to his opponents. And when they go to tie-up for survival he denies them. He'll push them right off as he has a clear strength advantage over the other guys in his division. Also tend to agree that Beter is not normal, I mean some men are just cut from harder stuff than other men… and Beter grinds those men to dust in the palm of his hand, the man is a world class boxer who also happens to be a world class tank. I’m not arguing he shouldn’t be remembered as a destroyer, I just don’t know how to rate him yet.
They actually did measure Beterbiev's power once with his KO punch against Campillo. That shot generated a 973 pound-force per square inch. Whether their measurement detector is accurate though we can't know. Nevertheless it was interesting to see on the broadcast.
