Beterbiev vs Smith Jr June 18th ESPN

He needs to be on a long medical suspension. Coming back to soon from a concussion against a big puncher (Julian Jackson) is what happened to Gerald McClellan. People think it was Nigel benn who did that to him, it was actually Julian Jackson.

<23>

Benn's repeated back of the head punches probably didn’t help either.
But hey, couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy, apparently.

McClellan was reporting issues prior to Benn fight, there was something wrong with him. Today they would’ve done a million brain MRIs and probably caught something. But he was already dangling on the edge and Benn pushed him off.

Who's even disputing Smith got outclassed? Nobody.

We're saying he got outclassed NOT because he's a bum but because Beterbiev is exceptional, that's all.
I don't know man I'd have to see more of Smith but from what I saw he's not very talented. I mean his footwork, head movement, none of it was even a little impressive. Not calling him a bum by any means, if anything just a very average boxer.

Sonny Liston got completely outclassed by Ali.
Lol, can ! Totally didn’t even belong in the ring.
Facts.
So now we're comparing Smith to Sonny Liston? At least with Liston you could see the talent. Didn't mean to upset you guys I take it all back lol.

watching some Joe Smith Jr highlights, not a lot of talent in that division huh?

I mean he's still one or the top light heavyweights in the world beterbiev is just great. You're what's wrong with boxing. How about give credit to biev instead of giving shit to the boxer that lost

The talent is at the very top of the division in Beterbiev and Bivol. Gvozdyk was also part of that talent pool up until he ran into Beterbiev and subsequently retired. Most divisions only have two or three guys that stand out above the rest. That's usually how it goes so it's not unusual.

Bivol is undefeated with very good boxing skills and defense. He rarely even loses a round. Beterbiev, also undefeated, is a destroyer with underrated boxing skills and the only titleholder in the sport to have a 100% KO ratio. Not even Wilder, Tank, or Inoue can say that they've finished every opponent they've been in the ring with. Beterbiev has stopped or knocked out all 18 of his opponents to date. Bivol holds one alphabet world title while Beterbiev holds the other three.

Oh my God fine Beterbiev is great and so is Smith.

This fight did really good ratings. Well over a million viewers on average when you factor in all the other ESPN platforms (ESPN Deportes, ESPN+, etc). For the sake of comparison Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk averaged just 635,000 viewers on ESPN. Beterbiev vs Smith averaged nearly 300k more. Impressive.
Beterbiev-Smith Main Event Drew Average Audience Of 912,000 Viewers On ESPN

If light heavyweight is such a weak division then how come its two best fighters are both P4Pers rated in the Top 10? In fact, aside from welterweight and heavyweight, no other division can claim they have multiple P4P level talents like light heavyweight has.
