I remember being a kid and loving this song, along with Batman Forever. I was so excited that I had found this kick ass rock band to get into. I quickly found out that none of their other songs even come close to sounding like that. Imagine my disappointment. They’re still an ok band though

Their defining song. Kids these days are oblivious to the how recently the Irish conflict persisted. When I was a kid you'd see the adults faces turn pale when a story would come on about some bombing that just took place. I still believe U2 played a major role in bringing that to an end. They were a symbol for a generation that decided to be angrier about the violence than the underlying divisions which were the cause for the violence taking place.

There's almost no bands or artists in history who can boast having had a real-world significance on this level.
