Tommy Gunn is an absolute asshole. It depends on what we are looking at in terms of "best villain." If we are talking about the one who was the biggest piece of shit then Gunn takes the cake. If we are talking about which villain we overall thought was the most effective, best executed, most interesting, etc, then I feel Gunn definitely loses out.

I thought Tommy Gunn was a pretty complex and interesting character. He pictured all his opponents were his father. Pretty sick fuck.

Tommy gun got what he deserved because he died of AIDS.

That's what you get for being a backstabbing prick.

It wasn't the good kind of AIDS either...it was the bad kind.

One wonders what happens to all these antagonists after...we know Apollo

but what about Lang- did Rocky expose his cardio and he was never the same after that cause guys could gameplan around him?

Was Drago disgraced or was he still a national hero because of his pedigree and the fact that he had a throw down war with Rocky?

Did Tommy Gunn ever get his respect?

Conlan and Dixon are cool but they are more ancillary to the plots than a lot of the others. I really liked the angle with Conlan being booked on illegal possession of firearms charge and his manager wanting him to get one last huge payday before he went away. But we didn't get to see much else about him other than bad boy antics and being a trash talker.

Dixon was good and I liked the payoff that he finally got respect as champion once he faced the adversity of fighting the old warhorse and gutting through the bout with a broken hand. But again more ancillary to what the story was really about.

I have a sneaking suspicion we will see Clubber Lang and/or Ivan Drago again if the Creed series continues.

Agree.

Clubber would take this for sure if not for the fact that Drago literally killed Creed in the ring. So Drago.

Think about it though. Drago really wasn't a "bad" guy. He was just a proud Russian soldier following orders. He was pumped up with Chemicals. Probably suffering mind control tricks at the hands of his wife. Check his wiki entry.

"Driven by his desire to be the best at all costs, this single-minded manner in which he pursues this goal deprives him of his humanity."

See. Dude wasn't bad. He just wanted to win. Really. Really. Bad.

If we didn't see the shot of Drago getting injected with horse meat or the shot of him literally pushing the referee out of his way so he can continue bashing Creed he really wouldn't be much of a "bad" guy at all- his politician-doucher-handler would have more fulfilled that role.

Exactly bro. It was all roid rage.

Drago killed Rocky's best friend.

Drago went on to fight in Bodog, Affliction, and Strikeforce. Haters called him a "can crusher".

Clubbed went on to win UFC gold, lose it, and ended up in Bellator.

Clubber was a bad dude, but i went with Drago. Drago killed Creed, so Rocky put the entire nation on his back and faced the crazy russians on their home turf. Watching that movie you have to wonder "is it east vs west, or man against man?"

Yeah rocky spent weeks crossfitting in Siberia to prepare for Draco.

Creed II
Rocky dies when Clubber Lang pushes him down while calling out Creed for Clubber Jr., then Drago comes over from Russia to take over Creeds training and turn him into a Russian Black Bear. Drago gives Creed his shorts from when he fought Rocky. Creed destroys Clubber Jr. and then honor kills Clubber Sr. in Rocky's honor. Creed gets sentenced to life, where he fights in the yard for the prison guards. Creed then gets a roommate who is a descendent of Andy Dufresne who was framed for embezzlement. He becomes his body guard and they Shawshank a guard and escape to Mexico where Creed becomes a famous underground boxing trainer.

Fade to black.
