Best Lightweight ever Benson or BJ Penn?

Right now? BJ

In 5 years it could be Khabib if he stays injury free. I don't believe theses a lw on the roster that beats him.

Bendo:
Donald Cerrone (x3)
Frankie Edgar (1)
Josh Thomson
Giblert Melendez
Nate Diaz
Clay Guida

Not in the running?

To say nothing about the mistakes in your list, the majority of those are close decision wins. If we are only talking about who the fighter has beaten he would probably be the most solid but that doesn't make him the best ever.

Leave these half Koreans alone

But if you combine both of these guys together, he'd be unstoppable.

There aren't any mistakes in the list. The third Cerrone fight is a well recognized robbery. So is Frankie Edgar II, hence it was excluded from the list. The Josh Thomson and Giblert Melendez fights could've gone either way, but nevertheless belong to Benson Henderson. Khabib doesn't have comparable wins.

Nosferatu BJ is 155 GOAT. Bendo has too many splits for my liking.

Benson? BJ, Gil, and Gomi all have better resumés than Benson.

BJ had wins over Kenflo and Joe Daddy.

Benson beat guys like Donald, Gil, Frankie. Theres no comparison.

A prime BJ loses to the best guys at 155 today.

Frankie got his ass kicked in the First Benson fight. I will be willing to skype anyone and watch the fights live with you if you disagree. Frankie arguably lost every round.

Lol, how you change his record to your opinion

If I went with the record as is, it would only benefit my argument. Frankie Edgar would appear on his list twice, which is a huge improvement.

Donald Cerrone (x2)
Frankie Edgar (x2)
Josh Thomson
Giblert Melendez
Nate Diaz
Clay Guida

A much better resume than BJ's.

Well I do like Bendo but I think BJ is the only one of those two to actually fight at Light-Heavyweight lmao.

Benson > BJ

When Benson went up to fight a much bigger man, he won, he didn't repeatedly get smashed into retirement. Yet anyway.

Benson is a lot bigger than BJ too. By today's standards he's a FW who competed at much higher weight classes.

BJ was a different beast. I think he is the best LW ever and I don't think it's close right now. I think it's important to remember how good BJ was and for how long. He was fantastic when fighters couldn't fight as much as they do now. He also won decisively, when talking about him or Benson, that is so important to note. Bendo didn't win all of those fights. So many were too close to call or all together the wrong call in Bendo's favor. I know some in here say Frankie but he got a lot of favorable calls too. BJ took people out and that does make him better in my eyes.
