That was a nice one by Yves.

To the whole lead hook semantics debate, I propose a solution:

1) Leading hook is the term we can use when someone starts with throwing a hook: they are leading a combination with a hook from either the leading hand or the back hand.

2) A lead hook is the term we can use when someone throws a hook with the hand that leads, i.e. the same hand they jab with.

3) A leaden hook: the kind that Dr. No would throw.

I like this thread.

Oh and Bowling was usually in pretty decent fights, wonder what hes up to.

The hook heard around the world. I can still remember where I was and who I was with during that PPV, epic!

I remember hating Randleman:) I watched it on free tv on Croatian. Croatians put on all CC's fights on national TV. I respect them very much because of that.

Daley's is sweet; he steps in properly. Keeps it crisp and short AND protects his face with his right hand (unlike wingy punchers like shogun).

A lead hook is when you lead with a hook, if you throw a jab first then how the hell is it a lead hook, dumb-ass. I wasn't even talking about that, I've seen people here posting right crosses followed by left hooks, two hit combos followed be the hook, I expect it from sherdog tho.

It is a lead hook because it's thrown by the lead hand. It's not an opening punch though.

Daley's technique is beautiful. Surely he's learnt his lesson by now?
