Benson handily beat Frankie both times and Frankie was gifted a decision over BJ

After the third Frankie fight it was obvious to me he had nothing left. I expected him to lose all those fights and he did. It was sad to watch tbh.
I'm meant before his decline, I couldn't see him losing to clay guida. I didn't expect him to deteriorate that much.

Imagine it being the day after Christmas and the best thing you can do with your time is make this thread
Better than spending Christmas day crying about Israel and the Jews as some little Hitlers did on here

Yeah it's funny you see a lot of people use these slides as proof a fighter was never good. Like I remember people saying Fedor couldn't be the hw goat because he lost to Bader and Mitrione. Like past prime losses just erased everything he ever did. Some guys decline slowly and can perform at an elite level for years past their peak.

But some guys just age overnight. Especially guys with styles based heavily on athleticism.

i was here when frankie got famous being too small
but yet having wars and winning them against bigger guys

bj penn loves fighting bigger guys but he always loses
maybe bj penn is overated

but frankie edgar isnt

I remember at the time I didn't care about robbery because I thought Bendo won first fight and rematch was unneeded. Also Frankie had so many close fights so I was happy he didn't win the decision. I guess Bendo wasn't that dominant himself either.

Probably best comparison would be Strickland getting a split decision over DDP in rematch. I rather see someone like Khamzat run him over if he has to lose. Frankie probably still won the 2nd fight.

Imo alot of Bj strengths were natural. As he aged they deteriorated and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Or it could have been the beating he took from nick diaz and rory mcdonald.

he could
but if you really checked prime fedor as his fans say
he was in pride right?
and his best wins where nog and cro cop
90 percent of his wins came from japanese pro wrestlers

his resume resembles that of khabib

make an 8 man tournament fight between the best fighters that fedor fought
vs the version of fighters stipe fought
pretty sure nog and cro cop wouldnt be a favorite to win

also people question why fedor look average
when he was drug tested in america
coincidence?

Frankie definitely should have won that second Bendo fight, Aldo / Frankie was the ultimate super fight. It's a pity we never for Frankie / Conor.

Same old tired talking points. Fedor beat most of the top hws of his era, and tried to fight others like Barnett and Couture. Unlike Khabib Fedor was on top for a decade and we got to see him fight a number of different styles.

Fedor won three in a row in America before he started losing. Ten+ years into his career. Around the same time his contemporaries from pride and the UFC started to go on slumps as well.

Honestly this whole "Fedor had a short prime and every other hw is in their prime until they're 40" bs gets so old too man. It's not even remotely true, get a new talking point. JDS and Cain were both on top for about six years before being completely done. Stipe for around six years as well. Fedor started losing around a decade into his career, and across all weight classes if you look into guys records you will see that's pretty standard.

Many, many great fighters that are considered legends weren't even on top for a decade straight.
