Bench Press Grip

its funny cause i said that 99% of powerlifters use a normal grip but 99% of bodybuilders use a false grip....take that as you will.
 
I dropped the bar on my chest doing close grips after fifteen years of no problems. I was warming up w/ 135, so it wasn't a big deal. Nevertheless, I decided after that, that I would never use a false grip w/ heavy weight. Very true that all it takes is one. The better way to avoid the wrist stress is to train your forearms and grip religiously.
 
Yah I don't have any problem with my wrists. Just wondering if there were any significant advantages to false grip.
