Big fish in a small pond in the earlier part of his career. Got outclassed when he finally went to the UFC.

No hate on the dude though. Willing to test himself on a bigger stage, took his loses graciously, and his fights were fun.

His haters like to paint him as this arrogant asshole shit-talker, but is he really? I have yet to see a video of him being a malicious ass. It was all very mild compared to the likes of Chael Sonnen (who did it to sell tickets) or Conor McGregor (who is a real ass). Lots of other people out there more deserving of the hate.

Not the best fighter, but an ok dude. Entertaining while it lasted.

People said he was the best WW on the planet before he came to the UFC, just to put it in perspective.
And don't gimme that past his prime shit, he got retired by a 42-year-old Maia and is 2 years younger than Woodley.

I was always told that he was an amazing wrestler that would dominate the UFC's WW division should he make the jump.

The controversial Robbie win already had me questioning what people saw in him and now Jorge brained him in 5 secs. And Maia subbed him.

Honestly, his legacy to me is just disappointing. I was excited to see what the hype was about.
