Gotta love it when people only talk about Askren whenever he opens his mouth about the UFC.
Ben's in a tough spot. If he ever makes it to the UFC it will just look like he is caving into Dana and I'm sure Dana would continue to run his mouth about how much Askren needs him.
Ben shouldn't have talked so much shit when he was in Bellator. He's a product of his own poor choices. Common sense dictates that you wouldn't talk trash about the NFL if you were best player int he CFL.
Didn't Dana launch the first salvo?
This strategy is not working out well for him.
No he's not, not even a little bit. Bellator not re-signing him and UFC not signing him are great moves on there part, both orgs have exciting dynamic fighters at WW, the last thing they needed was a boring ass fighter LnPing for three rounds.
Look at the GOAT getting treated like shit by Zuffa

None of this has anything to do with why Askren's not in the UFC. It's got nothing to do with his mouth or what org he has or currently fights for.
The reason why the UFC refuses to sign Ben is because most of his fights are very boring but he has the skill to beat exciting contenders. If Ben wasn't as good of a fighter as he is, the UFC would've signed him already. It's the same reason the UFC released Fitch, Shields and Okami the first chance they could because they were all boring fighters that had the skill level to beat exciting contenders. Fighters like that are bad for ratings but difficult to release once signed cause they always win their fights.
If you watched his the fights he has had lately, it's not boring. I don't even like the guy too much but they arn't boring lol
Seriously, if GSP had finished 4 fights in a row Dana would probably have sucked his **** live in the octagon by now.
Why doesn't Askren spend more time promoting his fights in ONE FC, instead of constantly berating Zuffa? I mean I seriously have no idea who he's fought / will fight in ONE FC, but I do know all his thoughts and feels about Dana.
The answer is pretty obvious, he is promoting himself to the American fans by talking about the UFC, regardless of who he talks about in the ONE FC most American fans aren't going to care. To the media overseas (the majority of the viewers) he focus's on his opponents more, so he is doing his job overseas; while trying to remain visibility in America. I would say he is succeeding with that as much as one could hope.
He doesn't know his next opponent, but he is asking to be on the Philippines card at the beginning of December, but a lack of opponent might not allow him to return that quickly. Santos is probably his next logical opponent, but Santos has a fight in November, so if they give him a fight in December I have no clue who it would be against.
