Bellator Womens Flyweight Champion Retains Title After Landing 1.8 Significant Strikes Per Minute

Then we disagree and that's fine. I think more of those strikes landed and they were heavier and achieved more than repeated jabs did and you feel the other way. defence does not score only offence. I just don't think on a whole she won 3 rounds and should have retained the belt. There is a better argument for a draw than a win by velesquez in my opinion.
I recommend watching the fight again.

I recommend watching the fight again.

I recommend watching the Rodolfo Viera fight for someone actually winning rounds with a hard jab. If Velesquez was landing jabs like that I would be agreeing with you. The fight was very similar except for the finish and Viera actually got his takedowns. That is how you offensively win a fight with a jab.

Bellator, the minor league MMA organization, continues to run itself out of business with its ridiculous commentary and judging.

Their reigning Womens Flyweight champion (Velasquez) retained her title after landing 46 significant strikes during the 25 minute fight, roughly 1.8 significant strikes per minute.

She was out-struck every single round.

Big John Mccarthy and their color commentator repeatedly lauded Velasquez on her ability to circle around the cage.

The "champion" was booed off the stage during her post fight interview.

Great organization, great champion. I will stick to the UFC, as Bellator still has a ways to go before it can be considered anything other than a minor league organization.
Pure Robbery today for Maycee vs. Maverick. Looks like UFC is continuing it's ridiculous judging and gave their up and coming more marketable prospect the decision.

I will stick to the Combate, as UFC still has a ways to go before it can be considered anything other than a minor league organization.
