Bellator or UFC tonight?

ufc tonight, tommorrow night invicta on fightpass, and sunday my dad will tell me if there is a bellator fight i should go back and watch

Are you serious? So you're going to probably be watching Karyn Bryant fill time at the end of the prelims and start of the main card, when you could be watching Curran-Pitbull?!?! If your dad tells you there was a good Bellator fight 2 days later, that there was a good chance got spoiled for you even more in between, that will largely ruin it for you. The surprise is half the fun.

You must not be familiar with either Jacare or Mousasi!!!

Is that the most likely explanation, or that it's subjective and his opinion disagrees with yours, or he's more informed about the #2 org? There is an infinitely greater chance that you're less informed about the #2 org than he is about the #1. It's really debatable which is the better fight - Pitbull/Curran or Jacare/Mousasi. They are both awesome fights on paper. There is no wrong answer, here, other than it isn't debatable like you seem to think.

Yes...no...wait, yes! Actually, no!

Wait...maybe.

Pitbull-Curran compares if you aren't a size or promotion snob. It's a proven commodity. Both are awesome fights on paper, and it is a false dilemma with them occurring not near the same time.

Pitbull vs Curran is a good fight. Probably the only meaningful fight on the Bellator card. Jacare vs Mousasi is still the most meaningful fight of the night. It's rather irrelevant I will see all 10 UFC fights and the Bellator main card.

I prefer Curran/Pitbull II to Jacare/Mousasi II as well. Curran is one of my favorite fighters and Pitbull is always exciting to watch. Their last fight was great. Both are top ten Featherweights IMO.

I never liked Curran because he's just another oversized FW who should be fighting at a higher weight class. He'd be middle tier at FW in the UFC and would have to cut to BW to compete.

Agreed 100%!

I love how some of our fellow Sherdoggers claim certain lesser fights are actually more important just to make themselves appear to be bigger MMA fans.

If that's the case, there's a ton of regional shows you can attend for $20 cageside seats which could potentially host the greatest MMA fight of the century!!! Those dudes are hungry and most don't have fancy contracts and garanteed paydays!

Lol at mid-tier fw and cut to bw.

You said yourself he's an over-sized fw so cutting to bw doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

And a guy with his size and well-roundedness is not a mid-tier fighter anywhere. Bellator paid their fw's the same as their hw's. As a result they have a very deep fw division. The champion of it is not mid-tier. Either you're being UFC or size biased here.

dvr'ing both because i gotta watch the re-run marathon of dawson's creek tonight. so good.

Yes, Curran and Pitbull would be run of the mill in the same division where Nik Lentz and Dennis Siver are top ten. Both actually got their spots by winning decisions against Nunes, who Pitbull starched.

But, Curran and Pitbull are in another org so they must suck. Kind of like Gegard and Jacare before they came over, right?

Actually I really wanna see each fight on the main cards of both events. So skip the UFC prelims, watch Bellator, then switch over to the UFC main card.

Hopefully Curran finishes Pitbull quickly.

UFC live, bellator on dvr for after UFC is over. Or during long commercials switch over to bellator and catch a fight then switch back.

Now that you mention it...the new season of Trailer Park Boys starts TONIGHT!!!

DECENT!!!

Yeah, bout effin time. The new movie was ok, but I think the new season will be much better...Nomsayin...

Stream UFC since it's not on TV in Canada ffs, DVR Bellator and watch later

It's not about being a bigger MMA fan, as opposed to less of a sucker, and producing max enjoyment out of life. That's part of the criteria for decisions I make. I couldn't care less about who is a bigger MMA fan. That's a sad contest.

You're ajudging the fight in Bellator to be inherently less relevant because of the name on the lip of the cage. Making an analogy of Bellator to a regional promotion drives that reality home. Those are the statements of someone being a sucker. You care about the promotion, rather than the fighters. Bellator fw's get paid well, Pitbull + Curran have solid resumes, and pass the eye test. Do your homework. It's subjective as hell which is the better fight. I have zero opinion other than it is clearly debatable if you know your stuff. And if you don't you'd be wiser not to weigh in on the matter.
