Bellator Fedor vs. Bader Payout Discussion.

Bellator has been paying out roughly an average of 30% of revenue* (see edit below, more recent information has it higher)

The UFC has been paying out ~18% of revenue for the past ten years, a bit lower now. This isn't up for debate its public information from their financial filings and court discovery. 18% includes every single penny attributed to fighters - all bonuses, PPV points, travel, hotels, per diem, insurance, the performance institute.

Bellator makes a lot less revenue so the totals look low, but they are sharing a much more fair split of the incoming cash with the fighters. At some point near double what the UFC revenue share is.

The UFC pays these guys pennies on the dollar.

*edit
@ripsta619 reminded me of this study from 2020, with Bellator paying closer to 45-50% of revenue.

Lol what a tool you are. Less money is less money.

Probably some tomfoolery re: his US source compensation vs. worldwide compensation.

Disclosed pay means nothing.

He's probably making like a million a fight.

If you're Fedor, your negotiation power is massive.

And there's really no way bellator isnt paying to have him. It's not about whether he's a current top HW or any of that. His name and the status that comes with it will always be huge.

It does mean something it’s a legal obligation.

California you have to disclose the full pay including bonuses.

Fedor has fought in full disclosure states a few times now. His highest earning was 400k in STRIKEFORCE. PRIDE paid him 100k, Affliction 300k. The RIZIN and EFN payed him 2 million stuff is rumors. This payout makes sense, Bellator isn’t paying him 1 million. He never sold that well in the states besides the CBS ratings which wasn’t PPV. This show had weak numbers I don’t think they expected much out of Fedor - Bader.

A lot of scumbag UFC grifters were celebrating the supposed fight purse of Bader and Fedor: 100k for their fight and took that as an opportunity to bash Bellator. I've spoken to Fedors manager and I know for a fact that he makes over 1M per fight in Bellator and makes more than 95% of U FIGHT CHEAP fighters. I also know Bader made close to 500k.

It's funny how UFC stans are only concerned with fighter pay when it comes to Bellator but not so much when it comes to U FIGHT CHEAP. Eat your heart out clowns.

Another grifter making up bullshit lol. I personally spoke to Fedors manager. Fedor makes over a 1M in Bellator. Go grift somewhere else clown.

Only the lowest IQ UFC shills believed that Fedor got 100k for that fight.

Corey said he earned more in his 2 fights with Bellator than his entire UFC career, Rory got 400k per fight, Mousasi suddenly bought rolexes for his entire family, Tim Johnson and many more all said they are getting paid A LOT MORE than they were in the UFC. Even their green prospects like Luke Trainer said he's getting life changing money

Lol. The point of tax laws in California is just that. So like go look at the actual law, what you’re claiming would be fraud. But yea, let’s take your word of rubbing elbows with management and not the actual law of California.

If Bellator is paying Ryan Bader 1 million dollars, and only releasing 1/10th of that to the tax man that’s fraud. Also if Ryan Bader makes a million every fight, why are these guys acting bay shit crazy for million dollar tournaments…….. wouldn’t they be 5 million dollar tournaments? Let me guess, they’re 10 million according to Fedors managers.

I believe him... I'm an idiot though, someone explain some logic here. Why wouldn't bellator want to disclose higher pay to it's big stars? Wouldn't it show other stars that bellator might be a viable option to call home? What do they gain by low balling it in the media.
Edit* I understand why a fighter wouldn't want the world to know how much money they make, but why wouldn't the organization?

Bader made close to $500k as the Bellator HW champ? Lol, Ngannou bitched and left because his DISCLOSED pay was $600k before any bonuses and PPV share, and turned down $8 million to fight Jones.

Obviously they're getting paid better than when they were in the UFC, it's why they fucking left. What is wrong with people? Also this is a UFC problem too "NGannou only made 500k defending his belt?!" Nah he made several million. People really can't read between the lines, I get called stupid on here all the time for pointing this out and I've even cited the fighters themselves explaining this! And people still don't fucking listen.

Good on Bader for pointing this out though.

500k + sponsors and he had a banner full of sponsors. He probably clocked close to a million after all was said and done. 95% of UFC guys don't see a million even after 5 fights.
