You could make the same argument for why Pico shouldn't have fought Leandro Higo, a solid 29 year-old who was 18-4, when he was only 3-1. That turned out rather well.

And that argument sure didn't look good earlier tonight when Pico knocked Corrales down with an uppercut that dam near took his head off.

If I was his manager I wouldn't have allowed either fight. He should be in there with people close to his age and experience until he gets at least 10 pro wins. He lost due to inexperience against a vet tonight, a predictable outcome when a prospect is rushed.

Pico's chin is probably quite solid. He walked through some powerful and flush shots against Higo, as well as a several against Corrales before being hit with that perfect right hand counter with everything on it.
