Anyone think he can actually win though?

Oldest ever champion in UFC history was Tyron Woodley at 34(35 was his last win) back in 2016, Belal is 36 now.

He's looked better and better each fight. I feel like the striking he demonstrated against Brady and Luque is above where his striking was when he fought Leon.

Training with Khabib and Islam is only going to improve what he's best at. He never seems to get tired.

I think he's a problem and he can definitely win, yes.

He absolutely can win. He's only like a +200 underdog so the market has determined his chances are not that bad.

The way some of you guys talk about this fight is like Belal winning would be as big of an upset as if Jessica Eye had beaten Valentina Shevchenko lol.

I think Belal can beat him. He needs to wrestle and apply forward pressure.

CLINCH, side step, CLINCH, break off with left elbow, DOUBLE leg, (if Edwards stuff it), quickly switch to single, CLINCH, then hook back leg and trip takedown.

If he want go striking route instead of the grappling route like I coached, he need to move to Edwards right, away from left side. He needs to be sniper with jabs and duck Edwards high kicks and work the body.

Give likes if you agreed.👍

Belal beats him, only get his shit pushed in my Islam next year.
<{yearp}>

Anything is possible, but I feel the odds are heavily against Belal. He was getting absolutely dominated the first time they fought. I just feel Edwards is a little better than Belal everywhere.

1st fight was close before the eyepoke. Leon was a bit ahead but not by much. Fight ended like seconds into round 2.

I think this is a very close fight. Won't be surprised to see either walk away with the belt on Saturday.

What's the combined record of title challengers over 35 at 170 and below now?

2-35 or something like that?

Edwards throws the jab more than any other strike and is a left handed switch fighter with a huge reach advantage... and you want belal to "be sniper with jabs"..... he would have to get inside, or he will get 50 45edyou have no idea what you are talking about.

Yeah, but for over 35. However those 2 wins was a sitting champ in Woodley. None have ever won it at 35 or over ever.

They are, and one of those wins was over 40 year old Maia, who was even older than him.

The other was an outmatched Darren Till who was rushed into a title fight way before he was ready.

Yeah which makes it even more daunting of a task as Belal would literally have to make history in a multitude of records.

You should change your name to SherCoach,. You're like the Edmond Tarverdyn of Sherdog. No "likes" for you until then🖕

I think we kind of found out Darren Till would never actually be ready...

i personally think this will be leons hardest fight in the division. i see a lot of back and forth. would be surprised if belal gets finished.
