Being friends with gay guys

Back in my stoner days i used to hangout with an older gay dude and smoke. He was late 40s. Thing was, you would've never guessed he was gay. He didnt flaunt that shit. I knew because he was a long time family friend

He was cool, hilarious and didnt mind sharing weed... he did listen to tons of Lady Gaga though

**oh yeah he was a florist too, always had the hookup on floral arrangements for whatever chick I was with at the time
 
So long as they're not flamboyant and understand I'm not interested, sure I have no issue with it.

There was a gay dude in one of the groups of friends I used to chill with in college. He was a cool dude, and knew tons of girls. One of my childhood friends has a brother that is gay, and I've hit the (straight) bars with him and other friends numerous times. Good peoples.
 
the advantage of living in a small town, with old fashioned ''backward'' views, is they move away to some big liberal city, so off the top of my head, I can't really think of any I've even had a conversation with, let alone been be a friend
 
I used to work with gay dudes, and they were pretty cool once I established boundaries. One of them gave me a trendy haircut that had (female) panties dropping, and he also accompanied me to a lesbian bar where I unsuccessfully tried to convert all the butches back to ladies.

He was probably an outlier, though, as most of the others were like bitchy female co-workers with zero upside.
 
No dont have any,but I dont care about it at all though. It wouldnt be a problem for me.

I've worked with a fair number of gay guys and most were fine in the office. But outside work I've only really spent time with a couple gay guys who knew a girlfriend or my wife. These guys were consistently awful. I don't think they liked sharing the attention of the women with me. One would always start talking about toxic masculinity and criticize me for being a typical American male. Good times.
 
Yeah, I have a gay friend since college (highschool) of 20+ years. Yes he's fun to hang out with.

Him and his husband have an incredible pad and are interesting people.

Not sure what you want really, it's not like you can say all of any group are cool or not, that's the premise of racism and prejudice.

Hey.. I've been advanced on twice. Once my "straight" buddy who is a married cop now offered to blow me after we got drunk and won at the casino. I laughed and told him to stfu.

The other time my gay acquaintance, who had a crush on me, grabbed my chest while I was playing with a fat girls boobs on a party bus. I just laughed and moved away. No biggie.

yeah one of my best friends is a gay mullato dude. Best buds since we met in college. He's just hilarious and a really kind sensitive soul. Everyone allways thought we were banging, but it just goes to show what real friendship is when two very different people stay friends for so long. been over 10 years.
 
One of my best buddies is gay. Dude was a riot at the bar, it's hilarious how easily offended people would get at him.

the openely gay dude at my work is a riot! he can b e bitchy to the women I work with and cant get in troublew for it, being openely gay is like his immunity trinket to say or do basically anything he wants and never get called out for it. I am kinda jealous actually, as a straight white middle aged male I have literally no rights any more.
