Bill just announced on Facebook they now have metallic red green and blue!!!! We need pictures stat!
 
You can easily make canelo's grant gloves from the mayweather fight by doing metallic green, silver, and red...very easily (see bottom of post).

Damn. I really like the colors. I'm very close to drawing out some ideas to send in. These colors are very cool.

Red, blue, green metallic colors are now available along with snake skins and croc colors. $199.99 +S&H, 12-20 oz. sizes. Lettering is $7.00.

Fluorescent green is $199.99
Regular cowhide and patent leathers are $149.99 +S&H.

Unfortunately $199.99 :( was hoping he wasn't gonna bump up them that much.
 
I don't understand how you can charge the same for metallic as you do for exotic skins. I mean I can understand a price bump, but a $50 price bump? I could understand it being like $175.

I understand where you're coming from man, it really is a chunk of change. But trust me, they're 100% worth it. Ask anybody whose owned a pair.

And realistically, he could charge that premium because who else is doing this stuff? Plus he definitely has supply for the demand.

The gloves definitely look amazing and preform just as good as it looks

I know they are worth it, but let's be real, juan has metallic colors also and only charges $10 more. Now I know Bill makes amazing quality and offers the most customization, it's just a bummer that he raises the price soooo much. I mean I will still get a pair, cause I've been waiting for metallic green but it just means it will take quite a bit longer to get for me.

Btw Bill's pricing policy is a bit weird, I know him from the first pair he listed on ebay (Mino bought them) and to be honest it seems there has never been any conception of pricing. But at least he now skips his silly talks about "big guy" (Grant) when talking about his prices...

And agreed, I see no reason why snake/croco patterns are 25 more expensive, while metallic are 50. But most importantly I see no reason why are they more expensive than patent. Classics 10-15 difference in case of standard vs. metallic seems to be adequate.

Actually when I emailed him about he brought up grant gloves -__- then he proceeded to tell that it costs WAY more from the tannery to get metallics. So of course after we've been screaming for metallic colors we get it.....with a jacked up price.
 
Some months ago Bill claimed the prices of leather have raised a lot (a rubbish of course), so he was trying to sell custom colours gloves (not patent, metallic, snake etc.) at 200 for a while (at the sae time offered them on ebay cheaper now and then lol), but it seems the demand wasn't as he expected, so he again lowered them to 150 claiming it was for 100 first orders only. But now it is the standard price :)

Now he claims metallic costs much more than standard :rolleyes:

So in Mexico are some cheap tanneries as far as I understand? A piece of leather for gloves definitely doesn't cost 50 more. Maybe 10-15, yes, but definitely not 50.

It all roots in his obsession with that douchebag Grant. Look a Winning, they charge 30 percent for custom whatever you choose, either one colour or 5, metallic or not. And that's in Japan! The do not charge more for gold or silver saying the price for 1 troy oz. has raised (it has dropped actually) lol This is fair.
And Juan's 10-15 if fair etiher. This is how a normal company behaves.

If Bill's basic prices were 100 not 150, then OK 50 for metallic is still acceptable (though ridiculous).

Ya this shit drives me crazy. Yes the gloves are top quality, but I have been waiting a good while for some metallic green so I could have the sparring gloves of my dreams just to find out that I will have to shell out $50 extra for less than a foot of leather.

And you know im pretty sure gold and silver fall under standard colors with no extra charge.
 
Exactly. Charging big money (big %) for metallic is typical for Grant, for nobody else.

But you know there is something positive now... Bill at least now openly declares how much each option costs insted of "We have metallic colours, email us for prices." Finally, after we told him 10000000000 times to do it in this way.
 
How are metallics made? Do they just paint over the leather?
