Beaulieu Boxing Equipment

KounterPunch, I love your posts :icon_lol: Most welcome when I'll be doing Heritage gloves review :icon_lol:
In numerous things you are correct though.

His stock gloves are 140ish as are Reyes (the benchmark of gloves).

Stock Grants are $200+

So you're actually getting them then? :D Ordered yet?

Don't think they are anywhere near 140 either, but asked Grant to know for sure how much they currently are... a double-check. Waiting for the respond.

Well... yes, I am getting them

Sweet..

yeah last time I asked Grant how much for their bag gloves in 12oz they told me $249.99 for the stock red+black colours. Ringside used to sell the lace-ups for $200

I would bet their sparring gloves in basic colours now are not any cheaper than their bag gloves. My guess is 250-300, but have emailed Grant to be sure... Most probably they are at least 2x as expensive as Bill's similar design gloves. Probably even 3x.

yeah , maybe not. Was thinking of Reyes when I wrote that.
Some guy bought a pair of grants last year , I think he said 180ish ?

Dunno why the Hyundai of gloves (being generous here) are pegging their prices to Bentley ?

:icon_lol:

Zepol , boxeo , campeon etc are all around 90$ ....custom about 120ish.
Juan's seems a great guy (I haven't bought shit from him)

Grant Stock lace up training gloves are $220 and their 18 oz size costs like $20 more. With shipping they would be around $250. Custom, 425 plus shipping, other things like special patent leather $65.00 more. Metallic colors I believe cost $475. Grant gloves are nice gloves, but damn.

I did order some truly custom Bill Boxing Gloves. I changed up the wrist area and it has a more traditional boxing glove, single ribbed cuff. Custom colors, custom logo that I designed. I asked for welted seams, not sure if that will happen though. 20 oz size, custom colors and increased density on the padding. I paid $172.00 including shipping. Not sure why that is such a terrible price for actually custom made gloves. Not sure what all the drama is here, he did a lot to customizing to my liking. Can he do crazy leather like croc or alligator and all that? I really don't know, but what I paid is a pretty good deal since he uses high quality cowhide. Just like any other item, custom quality is always going to be better than stock. I'm sure they'll be really nice, thanks Bill.

I also understand that Reyes does custom colors with a minimum order of 15 pairs, (according to Juan).

So perhaps BillBoxing hasn't had the best PR, but I think the concentrated hate from a few posters is unwarranted. It's not like the company has produced an outright bad product, and on the contrary, the reviews that are there indicate that his gloves are of decent make.

I haven't purchased anything from Bill, but I have interacted with him over email regarding an order inquiry, and he's been nothing but courteous and punctual in his responses.

There's room for all these manufacturers to coexist. Having more options and competition benefits everyone.

I scrolled through this thread to see if anyone had anymore pics and experiences with the actual gloves, and instead, all I'm seeing are these comparison posts that repeatedly mention Grant Grant Grant Reyes Reyes Reyes.

Can you email Reyes ?

and when you're done ....Zepol , Campeon , Casanova , Boxeo .....

Find it a tad funny that BB apologists keep comparing prices with the top most , most visible brand in boxing.

That'd be like Hyundai justifying a 100'000 dollar Sonata by saying "look....a Bentley Continental's 250k !".

Don't know why I would when we're talking about Grant prices:

so, now we know anyway. Shihtzu says the velcro bag gloves are more expensive also

I should be getting my gloves this week now. They came in a week late, but once i get a few rounds under them i'll review

Actually it was about BillBoxing's prices but you diverted it to Grant's.

Do they pay you ?

jk :)

You first said they were about $140. Merely corrected you. Then we started talking about Grant in that easy to follow conversation.

I am quite curious why do you consider Grant gloves being a Bentley and Bill's gloves being a Hyundai? Grant gloves are (beside Winning) the most expensive ergo they are a league of their own? Imo Winning are a league of their own because of the padding (it determines not the protection only, but also the fit), everything else (of an overall good quality) including Grant is more or less comparable. Many Hecho en Mexico gloves suck in some or in several areas, some Pakistani gloves are almost perfect.

I said their custom gloves aren't all 450.
For the most part , I've been comparing bb's prices to zepol / campeon / boxeo and , yes , Reyes.......but I'm glad to see that youve conveniently ignored that and remain fixated on Grant.

Let me guess , trying to equate your 'Hecho in Karachi' mitts with Grants ?

Hey , ima winnings man through n through.
Got me a complete set , top to bottom , plus 12s for bag n pads etc

I say grants are bentleys and in a league of their own because , like bentleys , your favourite celebrity (read pro) has them and is photographed in them !

:)

My problem with bb is less on quality (hell , I was going to buy one just to try before his idiot manager came) but more on his dubious business practices , which always grinds my gears.
