1. Why would the bat brand encourage criminals to kill other criminals?
- I'm pretty sure the news anchor explained this in the scene showing the guy get arrested, but it was because they prisoners knew that ring of guys was a part of sex trafficking. (This is a guess -->) To add to that, I feel like Wayne hasn't been Batman for the entirety of time, and just put the cape back on at some point recently (maybe when Superman appeared?), so it wasn't like he had been branding people for years, but more of a recent occurrence.
2. Why is Bruce so completely sure Superman is a threat, when he's the aggressive one the whole movie and supes is usually trying to be diplomatic
- It's his potential that's the threat. Like whenever a country achieves the ability to make nuclear weapons, even if they are cool now, you know that if the wrong person becomes their leader shit can hit the fan in a BIG way.
3.Why would Supes refer to his mother as Martha, other than it serves the plot?
- If he said "Mom" what's that mean to Batman? At least, if he gives him her name, he'll have something to go on while looking for her. (a guess)
4. Why is Supes so pissed that Batman is a vigilante taking the law into his own hands, when he's doing the exact same thing with the exact same methods on a global scale?
- Superman just saves people. That was what the African woman was essentially complaining about. He comes, saves who he wants (Lois), but does nothing about the bad guys who in turn still kill the people in the village
5. Why would Lois Lane throw away the kryptonite lance and then go back for it?
-It's the only thing that can kill the man she loves, but then learns it's the only thing that can possibly save him/them/the city/the planet. This one really shouldn't be that hard to comprehend, to be honest.
6. It's hinted that Luthor is keeping the old photo of WW to use as leverage, but there's no interaction between the two of them. Why?
-I don't know either. I think this is one of those situations were a movie/director get's so into building a series that he forgets that a lot of viewers only care about the here and now, so instead of explaining it in this movie, he thinks ahead and is probably planning to elaborate more in the next movie. I will say that's a bad choice.
7. WTF is going on during the Flash scene? (After the movie I understood it was eluding to an alternate timeline, but the movie gives zero explanation of wtf is happening.)
- Same reasoning as #6. Looking too far ahead, though I personally liked it.
8. Why so many dream sequences?
- ???
9. Why did they show an elaborate action sequence of Batman trying to get the kryptonite, then skip the actual scene where he gets the kryptonite?
- Yea, who knows. Probably to cut time or budget. If they had to choose one or the other, it's obviously better to keep the chase scene since it's more elaborate and it's the two protagonists first meeting.
10. Why did Batman and Superman become best friends as soon as he discovered their moms had the same name?
- That was kind of weird, but I guess it was the first time he saw him as "human" (having a mother he loves, and Lois, too.)
11. Why was Luthor given unlimited unsupervised access to the alien ship, and why were there suddenly no hazmat suit government people there as soon as it was necessary for him to be there alone?
Rich, powerful man that negotiated that privilege in the scene with some politician-type dude (he put candy in his mouth)
12. If the ship could sense he wasn't kryptonian, why did it take his orders and completely disregard kryptonian laws and failsafes in place, merely because he said to?
- "Where is the council?" "Dead (or something tho that effect)". No Kryptonians, nokryptonian law. Idk
13. If Batman was so pissed about collateral damage, why did he deliberately lead Doomsday from a deserted island to a populated area, just because the plot device weapon was there?
??
14. Why did Amy Adams look so haggard?
- Father time is undefeated.
15. This version of Batman has no issue killing thugs, but doesn't kill Luthor at the end even though he easily reaches him in prison.
- Killing vs. Murdering. He kills people that are trying to kill him, Luthor is imprisoned and no imminent threat, thus no need to kill him. I think most rational people in real life would have that same moral code.
WHHHYYYYYYYYYYY. Why.
