profit wise it's prob breaking even or in the low 8 figures tbh

budget and advertising is around or more than 400 million

they get around half the ticket sales back on almost 870 million so far

my guess would be 20 million in profit so far

Your guess.

I'd have to see more credible figures.

And did you break your SHIFT key?

yeah my guess based on actual numbers you goof

unlike your "3 times the budget profit" lmao

Your guess.

Not educated estimation.

Your guess.

$300 million budget, unknown amount of advertising, nearly a $900 million in global box office.

All of these are estimations, and I doubt they just recieve half of the ticket sales.

So, it's just your guess it's only made $20 million.

well that is purely come from box office, you guys don't count other revenue.

Product Placement, Merchandise Sales, DVD sales, Sponsor and many other revenue stream.

it's a fair guess
far better than your 3x its budget profit statement (lol seriously)

you can look up all this stuff on your own and come to a conclusion

we're not talking about that

this is about box office profits

It's very possible the final haul for BvS will be around $1.2 Billion, at least, especially after the Extended Blu-ray is released. Alot of people are interested in seeing the 30 minutes of added scenes.

$300 million budget - $900 million boxoffice.

Budget - Gross revenue.

That's not a guess that it made three times it's budget, it requires a 2nd grade math level to come to that conclusion.

well i think we talking about the profit that the movie make right ?

blue ray is counted into that, so does product placement, so does merchandise sales generated by the movies.

to consider whether the movies is a success or not a success we have count that.

yes they will.

plus some of the movie product placement are exposed almost to the same level of Transformer movies, i bet they pay a lot of money for that.

this is what you wrote

Only in Hollywood could an investment that makes a profit nearly three times it's budget costs, be precieved as a failure.

a profit nearly 3 times its budget?

there's a difference between revenue and profit.

maybe take some English lessons before giving out math ones.

and the movie budget is around 400 million not 300

Close enough.

And who knows, after all the factors Pem123 mentioned, and Bluray sales, it might recieve a profit three times it's budget.

Overall, if there wasn't a perception that DC films are in direct competetion with Marvel films, BvS would be percieved as a big success.

Yeah, you are just talking box office profit.

Everyone else is talking about the overall profitability of the film, with all sources of revenue included.

well the movie itself can't compete with big marvel movies such as Avengers or civil war.

but still its not a flop or a failure.

Man Civil War took a large steamy dump all over this movie.

At this point, they shouldn't be expected to.

DC is at the same point that Marvel was after releasing Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and Thor.

Marvel now has more of a universe that movie goers are familiar with, and are excited to hand over their cash to see more releases with their favorite characters.

DC has had MoS, and BvS... and that's it. Two releases in three years, as opposed to Marvel's..... like.... nine.

But DC looks like they're going to be learning from BvS as an opportunity that could have been a very very large profit. Let's see how they do.

this.

You and I have argued on Man of Steel before I promise you. I thought it was decent at the time but doesn't hold up when I watch it again the Supes vs Zod Soldiers was good and the Same with Zod , but overall the movie was flat and I thought Amy Adams was terrible in this, and absolutely fucking hated the Pa Kent Sacrifice.

Pa Kent was the only thing that i hated about the movie since Kevin knocked it out of the park with his performance
