Didn't like it at all. The characters were just not meshed well. Seemed glued together rather than seamless.

Don't know how true it is but apparently they removed like 40 mins from the film for the directors cut version. If so it only reinforces how badly they are handling this franchise.

The ultimate cut will be around 3 hrs long, Snyder had to cut major chunks from the Africa opening as well as a lot of Clark scenes since the WB big wigs chickened out and didn't want a 3 hr long movie.

Execs ruining movies no surprise here.

Your opinion proves nothing as well. General Audiences loved Diary of a Mad Black Woman, I bet you will appeal to them as well and say it must be a great movie. GA also hated Cocoon by your logic that is a crap movie since 90% of the audience hated it upon its' release.

Diary of a mad black is a good movie. It's a love movie and nothing special but it's good. It's what launched Tyler movie career. Some say the play is even better

I struggled between average and poor, but went with average. Batman vs. Superman had all the ingredients to be a great film, but it was poorly executed. An accumulation of missteps all over the place knocked this movie down several pegs.

You could have had the same story with more action and cut down on the pointless dialogue.

I would of had doomsday near the beginning of the movie fucking supes up. Having doomsday just at the end was kinda weak

I would have had him not looking like a lean Cave Troll from LOTR

Ya that was dissapointing. You could of easily had lex experiment on Zod in green underwear and made doomsday look like his comic part

Should have made it Bizarro I hate that Trollday was so much bigger, makes the battle more aesthetically pleasing when the foe is eye to eye with the main hero

I'd say it was decent to good. I rarely, raaaarely make it out to the theater but I did for this, and I don't regret it. But I can't say it was great. It could have been, but it had some problems that can't be overlooked. Maybe a director's cut helps address them, but at a certain point you just can't recover from the theatrical release's impressions.

He is allowed his opinion and yes taste is subjective.

But just because taste is subjective does not mean every opinion is created equally. Too many people think hiding behind 'oh its just my opinion' means it is free of critique and cannot be wrong and that is not the case.

I do have a friend who thinks McD's is just about the best food on the planet. He will choose that before any high end restaurant and he is perfectly entitled to that opinion and taste.

And for him his taste and choices are fine. But there is nothing wrong with 99% of the rest of the world saying his taste sucks and his opinion is lame. I mean, fine for him, but should be dismissed by 99% of everyone else.

it is the same for BoxingFan if not trolling. Fine for him to hold that opinion but quite dismissible by everyone else.

That is not even close of being valid comparison.

If I told you some 30 minutes youtube mini movies are better than civil war, then your argument is solid.

But both civil war and bvs are blockbuster movies, its not lame to think bvs is better, it might be a minority's opinion, but its still a valid position.

Most problem people have with bvs are with the pacing, tone and plot holes, those things are mostly objective.

I don't see anyone complaining about actors performance, cgi or the fight scenes, most people think its good.

LOL, marvel fans will give me problems for saying TDKR is a good film , although critics and fans love it.

But they will bring up critics and majority opinion when it's convenient (like right now)

It's not about being a marvel fan or a DC fan. I grew up reading both and am a huge fan of the major characters in both universes. This movie sucked, and I didn't want it to suck. i wanted it to be awesome and with Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor sharing a screen for the first time it should have been.

Instead it had poor pacing, and was really boring and nonsensical for large portions. Now the fight choreography was on point and Affleck surprised me by being a great Batman, so it wasn't all bad but it certainly WAS disappointing.

It's a bit annoying when people act like this movie is beyond criticism and everyone must have some sort of agenda. Batman and Superman are two of my favorite characters of all time, and to me this movie sucked ass. No desire to ever sit down and watch it from start to finish again, although I'm sure I'll watch some of the awesome action sequences on youtube.

I wish it had been better, I want the DCU to succeed because I want more of these movies, but they're rushing and trying to cram too much into one movie. They need to take a look at what marvel did, almost 5 years worth of movies before they even made the first avengers movie.

Look man, i think your argument is solid even though I disagree.

But someone who said bvs is better than civil war is not lame (i think they are equally good)

And to compare that statement to mcd being the best restaurants is not a valid argument

Fellowship of the Rings is one of my favorite movies of all time, and Braindead was a masterpiece of it's genre.

Um.... Yeah okay..

Different taste in movies i guess.. Nothing wrong with that.

As DC continues to purge more and more people involved with BVS and the talk continues about radically changing the environment to a more light and fun based one, you can scream from the hilltops that your very minority opinion of BvS greatness and CACW, being poor is the only right one and WB and Marvel simply have it wrong.

And as I said, not every tiny minority opinion is a terrible one, but in most cases going against a pretty near consensus one often highlights terrible taste and poorly thought out opinions. In your case there is no doubt of that.

Am I the only who both really liked BvS and Civil War? Why are we acting like we are only allowed to pick one favorite?
