Yeah the negative buzz absolutely murdered this movie. Having seen all the superhero movies that have come out this summer, I have to say BVS was by far the worst. Which is a bummer. Reminds me I have to find the X-men thread and give a review, saw it yesterday and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Have you seen winter solider fight scene at shield HQ, tell me how that is more believable than kungfu dudes fighting on a table.
The durability they display whether in WS or classic Kung Fu require you to suspend some belief but other than that movies like WS and Borne stick to otherwise realistic action. Sorry, no one is standing on tables and balancing them, and balancing many cups and tossing them into the air and landing punches before recatching them without spilling a drop.

And I'm not saying that because I hate those kind of scenes, because i don't. I'm just saying you can't tell others that is better action as that is very subjective.

Opposite for me man, I thought X-Men was one of the worst movies ive seen in ages, so so bad

Yeah to each their own but to me BVS was so unbelievably boring. And the more a movie focuses on the plot and long talking scenes, the more glaring plot issues will be. And that movie had a ton, with little to distract the viewer from them.

Am I the only who both really liked BvS and Civil War? Why are we acting like we are only allowed to pick one favorite?
Some, like me, genuinely hated one, but loved the other.

Take a wild guess which one I hated...

Honestly ever super hero movie that came out this summer has been quality except for BVS imo. Even X-men was more enjoyable than I expected it to be.

Got to watch BvS for free, it made me glad I didn't spend cash. Jesse Eisenberg had no business playing Luthor. His character reminded me of Crylo Ren with even more daddy issues. Batffleck wasn't too bad, but I don't see a franchise with him at the helm succeeding. Pretty much feel the same way about all the actors DC has lined up for the other heroes. Especially The Flash.

I see how DC is lining up its CU. They are clearly making a run at Marvel's Infinity War. I just don't think they have the time to do it. Marvel's head start is too great. And DC suffers from the fact that the movie they want to do has already been done in animation form with JL: War. DC would be better served going back to stand alone franchises instead of copying and pasting.

Maybe they think they got a leg up since Darkseid came before Thanos?

I hope that's not the case. Even if people don't care for Thanos, the star-power in Infinity War is going to be absurd. Combining GOTG and the Avengers? I'd let it have April-June all to itself. Let them have the spotlight for that period while trying to better the DC product.

In no universe is bvs worse than xmen fake apocalypse. It's not even close and I don't even rank bvs all that high

Wow, BVS almost beat Ice Age: Continental Drip.

It was to me. Xmen actually had exciting scenes and wasn't constantly monotonous as shit. It did have some flaws, but I enjoyed it much more than BVS.

It's all subjective but out of xmen, deadpool, civil war, and bvs, bvs was by far the worst for me.

arguing between XMen and BvS is like comparing gonorrhea vs chlamydia

BvS was the best super hero movie of the summer behind Deadpool for me, but im a bias batman fanboy, but I really enjoyed it

Civil War made me fall asleep the two times I watched it, but Ive never been big into the avenger movies (and come on, it was really avengers 3)
X-men....I cant get over how awful it all was. really. People bitch about Luthor..look at emo-nightcrawler. hes teleporting from his problems, one pamf at a time

Your opinion is.... wrong.

BvS was definitely better than X-Men Apocalypse in my opinion. X-Men didn't stick with me at all. Utterly forgettable. Fassbender and McAvoy delivered awesome work again, but it was otherwise just subpar.

Batman vs. Superman certainly had substantial flaws, but I thought it was entertaining, visually interesting, and had some strong scenes.
