Bane vs Winter Soldier?

Bane also was a henchmen for Talia, and died by a motorcycle blast.

what a stupid ignorant comment.

And Winter Soldier is a cuck. Here he is sitting in a chair getting tortured and he just sits there like a little pussy and takes it while crying about his friend. If that was Bane everyone in that room would have been dead.

Bucky has more layers. Its telling that he gets smacked and isn't phased in the slightest. Its just normal to him, constantly assassinating targets then being wiped.

Tragic character really IMO. But like i said i love both.

I had never read any comics with WS in it. When I saw the Cap movie, the character instantly became my favorite character. That on top of how good Cap himself has been, the bromance added to the character in my opinion.

As a character

Bane was way more interesting than The Winter Bucky in my opinion. Hardy did some awesome acting in that movie just with the upper half of his face. The most memorable Bane scene- the one you posted where Bane fights Batman in the sewers- is probably better than any single scene The Winter Soldier appears in just on intensity and Hardy alone.

That said, the hand to hand combat scenes in Cap 2 are definitely better executed and more exciting than those in TDKR.

Honestly Evans as Cap is up there with any casting of a superhero IMO (Robert dwny Ironman, Jackman Wolverine, Bale Batman etc)

And yes Bucky and Cap are my favorite as well.

Yea I do like both too for the most part. But I was never really as convinced with Stan's performance that he is someone to be feared. He feels like some pretty boy hipster you'd find going to indie shows. Hardy brought an intensity to the role that felt way more convincing. I bought that he really is this psycho fanatic. Stan just happened to be in a better movie but I thought Hardy put on a better performance honestly.

See i feel Stan did excellent in the few scenes he had as well. His posture and facial expressions with his eyes were brilliant IMO. He didn't have much dialogue but i feel that helped add to the badassery of his character.

Can't argue with what you said, but i feel the action scenes combined with the brain washing scene and him pulling Cap out of the water put him over for me.

Either way, I'm really happy for Stan. I don't know what other noteworthy work he did but i actually am one of the few that enjoyed him in the covenant. I like seeing him in a major role in the MCU (which i think he nails) along with other roles like in the Martian (which i also liked him in).

Nolan developed him quite a bit more than his other characters. I find him to be one of the most sympathetic and interesting baddies ever on film.

Even when Talia has a knife in Batman's side, I'm feeling more sorry for her and Bane.

Bane is a victim as much as he is an antagonist, and his motive is his interpretation of benevolence.

Without question a much more nuanced interpretation than...

"BOMB!"

Yeah huge opportunities in his career. He certainly did very well. I just felt that Bane had more...presence. But Stan did a great job with The Winter Soldier and that was a tremendous movie.

I hated Bane in the batman movie and in fact didn't find the movie itself that great. Winter soldier by a mile.

Tom Hardy's Bane is my favorite superhero movie villain. I have hated pretty much every Marvel movie that has come out. Truth be told, the only reason that I saw Cap America WS was because I was on a transatlantic flight that had about 3 movies as options. I found the whole movie and the WS character to be completely one-dimensional. Bane and it isn't even close.

In a fight: Bane. Bane actually killed people and beat up Bats. Winter Solder looked badass but he was the biggest can assassin. Couldn't even kill Nick Fury with all the cronies he had.

Acting wise: Draw. They were both awesome.
So the movie one...

He couldn't kill Batman who was recovering from a broken back. Winter Soldier wins with metal arm punch to the gut.

Bane is better for sure. Tom Hardy was given more opportunities to develop the character and he also made the absolute most of them.

The Winter Soldier is kind of like Darth Maul. Looks cool, fights cool. Not a whole lot more to him.

I both like and dislike your summation of TWS. Dude was a effing boss. went toe to toe with Rodgers. Bane got his ass whipped by a mere mortal winner BUCKAY!!!

Winter Soldier is the Cerrone of the comic book universe - always chokes in the big fights. Can't kill anyone that matters. Lol.
