I had a lot of issues in Act 3 as well. Many frame drops and crashes no matter the setting. Certain I just switched over to PS5 to not have to deal with it but I still did the majority of Act 3 on PC. My issues did start in Act 2 though and just got worse in Act 3.
Yeah pretty much anytime I had issues in Act 3 I just loaded up my save on PS5 and did that section on PS5. Once I was done I'd give PC another go because I hated playing on a controller. The issues in Act 2 weren't as frequent as Act 3 but they were still there. I did all Act 2 on PC and just dealt with the issues I came across. Like I said they weren't nearly as prevalent as thru were in Act 3.
Like the movement during combat or outside of combat? Outside of combat it's just simple moving like any other game. In combat your movement is based on several different factors. Never had issues with the camera so I'm not sure where to begin with that one. What system are you playing on?
Playing on PS5 and the UI/controls at times are total ass, camera not budging or going three rooms/areas over, not being able to target shit I should be able to target.
Just completed a colorcoded connect the dots puzzle that was frustrating as hell just to do the mechanical/movement/selection part of it, the puzzle itself was easy. Didn't help that the camera was damn near outside at times and I couldn't see shit.
Not even surprised honestly. It must look silly to people who don't have a wide genre of video games they play. They probably see game play of BG3 and think it's impossible. I had a lot of people on FB telling me BG3 would never win GOTY because of the type of game it was. One guy even said a game like that has never won and it never will. Yet here we are.

Finished the game this week. Act 3 is so buggy, probably one of the buggiest parts I've played in a game to be honest. And I'm someone who always thinks that people are exageratting when they're complaining about bugs in other games. Didn't experience any of the lag in act 3 that a lot of folks seem to have. I did have lag early game, but once I switched to Vulcan instead of directX the game has been smooth sailing for me, except when I try to throw enemies at other enemies, that's when there's a momentarily, if pretty big, stutter. Some of the waiting during bigger battles was pretty annoying too.
Shadowheart's last quest was great, the hard choice you had to make, the characters, the writing just felt very genuine and touching without really falling into sentimentality. Halsin and Minsc very much felt like tacked on companions, Halsin was the one that got kidnapped by Orin, so I played almost all of act 3 without him and didn't miss him at all. Minsc came in so late game that he's basically irrelevant. Also didn't really live up to all the hype. I never really played the first 2 BG's, but everyone was always saying 'that' quote, but he really wasn't particulary well written or interesting.
Still got a fair amount of juice from Jaheira, even though she was a pretty late addition too. Decent amount of story content with her in act 3 and I specced her into some youtube double crossbow build, did good damage all the way through. Only thing that annoyed me was that stereotypical Slavish accent. Karlach's story arc overall was great to, loved her to bits.
Except the f*cking ending, that really pissed me off. So my main was Astarion, I romanced Karlach, I gave Hammon the Infernal Iron thingies twice to temporarily fix Karlach, and made Wyll become the Blade of Avernus, had Astarion stop his master, but not ascend to vampire lord, so basically the good path. Everything (I think) to set up Karlach being save.
I finish the Netherbrain. Then at the port I suddenly see Astarion burn up in the sun, time flashes forward and he's in the undercity(?) smirking while he's about to feast on some guy. Then right after I see Karlach saying she's feeling it's about to end. So I'm thinking there's going someone opening a portal for her to go back to Avernus or some kind of choice so I can save her, but she burns to ashes. I was fucking flabbergasted. I don't know what I did wrong here, I do know I deeply infested in keeping her safe. I'm aware her story is basically an analogue for a terminal disease with multiple dead ends for a solution throughout the story, same way that people in real life desperately go through this phase where they will grasp on to any possible cure, then end up being dissapointed, so I think it would be bad writing to deus ex machina it all, but I thought her being banished back to the place she hated, but being able to face it with her lover and her friend in Wyll, possibly even dying in the process, was a very acceptable and satisying ending.
But eh, for some reason that didn't trigger in the game. So I'm very frustrated about that. I asked around a reddit and the steam forums, but nobody replied to me.

Does Shadowheart do anything special? She seemed almost absent at the dock, although she was in my end team. I think they added that camp epilogue in the last update to give everyone a more proper send off because everything at the dock seemed very curt? Haven't gone through it yet, due to the end issues I am having. The epilogue makes it feel even worse since X is the only one not at the reunion.
Another thing that bugged out for me at the end were all the reinforcements you could call upon, a lot of them turned hostile for some reason. You want this epic ending with all the allies you gathered throughout the game there and you get this pretty immersion breaking bug, lame...
Oh, and I just remembered, some of the character models like Orpheus seemed to weirdly shimmer at the dock ending. Like I said, very, very buggy.

I haven’t played since the epilogue was added to see the changes. I had a fairly big free experience but I could never figure out how to summon people at that end battle.
I wish we had more playtime as a lv 12 character with all the badass act 3 gear, spells and skills. Lots of the best gear I got I only used in 2-3 big encounters and that was it.
I'm finally playing this and I'm freaking hooked. One thing I love about Larian is how dense with content the map is. Like in Divinity: OS2, damn near every inch of the map has something going on.
It’s nuts. I thought oh well someone is going to come aid me or something. Nope. Blindness and bone chill everywhere. I had to use two elemental summons, planar ally and call three zombies to get through it.
I don’t know how hard the final battles are, but that would have been a perfect fight for the cleric’s divine intervention.
