Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

I just can't grab Minthara because Dammon dies. The Armor of Persistence, Legacy of the Masters, and Boots of Persistence he sells in act 3 are all just so nice, maybe better than the Helldusk armor. And the Flawed Helldusk armor set in act 2 is also quite good, especially the helmet and gloves.

Being able to have non devil Wyll is nice though. He looks dumb with the horns.
I’ve killed Minthara in one playthrough and knocked her out in my second ( even ko’d game registers it as a kill) hoping to see her at MR but she dead and never recruited.
I like Karlach too much lol to risk losing her in my party.

I find it interesting that people just have found alternative ways around trying to recruit everyone in a playthrough.

I really wish you could legit KO Minthara. She's an interesting companion, but not worth it for most players. If it was strictly trade Halsin for her instead of also losing all the tieflings, I'd do it. Despite the furry sex, Halsin has got to be the most boring companion in the game.

Apparently there's some mods that let you KO her then recruit her at MR.

I play on the PS5 so mods I can’t use. Halsin is fun to play as the Druid class but once you pick Jaheira up as a companion you have 2 Druids to choose from. Kinda funny how that’s the only class that was doubled up on recruitable companions yet we can’t recruit a paladin unless you choose that class yourself or have a hiriling

Act 3 Spoilers
Haslin was very useful to me as being the character the Orin captures in Act 3. Freeing him and killing Orin was literally the very last thing i did in Act 3.

For me it’s always been
La’zell, kinda fit her character especially when’s she’s at camp with the red haired orphan girl. Telling you to slice the kids throat, I was like whoa that’s definitely Orin lol

Half way through act 3 and only have one complaint. Sometimes the ai takes forever to find a path in combat. One of my fights in the lower city took over an hour because the mages kept running around the building trying to hit me through a wall and conjuring fire elementals. Aside from that the game is great. My rouge and fighter are dual-wielding deva maces so everything is easy mode for now.

Beat the game this weekend. The last level on tactician mode is pretty much BS. I looked it up online to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong. I guess it's called tactician mode for a reason. I had to pull out every trick in the book to just rush the final encounter and avoid as many fights as possible. Basically just rush to the next cut scene. The final boss wasn't to bad once I did that but I only had two characters and I couldn't figure out how to get people to help me. It's really dumb that they don't let you go back to camp or refill stock in that last mission.

The Hardest boss for me is easily Orins grandfather. His mirage ability was fucking me up. I'm sure there's a way to counter it but I'm not sure what it was.

My ending was pretty good but I had to redo it because Karlach fucked me up. Redid it with Shadowheart and it was better.

Any word if there's going to be a DLC Expansion?

Any rumors?

Yeah I don’t know if they can do that with this game.
Official statement is that there will not be a DM tool that allows easy map building like with NWN, but they did say there would be "mod support". I won't underestimate the modding community of a game this popular. Fingers crossed for some good ones.

It's going to be quite awhile before this matters for me. I'm only in Act 2 and there is a good chance that I'll start over shortly after I finish this playthrough. Plus I've got Armored Core 6 and Starfield to try with Dragon's Dogma 2 on the horizon. I'm all set for awhile.

I don’t think there will be. Pretty sure they never did that for the Original Sin game. Unfortunately what makes this game so good is that they spent years and years of hard work on it and they can’t just roll out content like that

Yea I don't think there will be any DLC and it honestly doesn't need it. I would take some more story with Shadowheart though.

I think you're probably right about them not doing expansions, but I don't think the precedent set with the D:OS games means much. As awesome as those games were, they weren't even close to BG3 in terms of popularity and player demand for DLC.

My new obsession is reading about the ways people got through certain areas that were difficult. Using the flower in the Shar temple against the mage is a next level move that I would have never thought of. I just shoved him off the cliff but it took two character turns and could have easily ended with him just moving away but I got lucky.

Someone posted a way to cheese the final battle that I had to use this weekend because it was so damn hard on tactician with no rest.

I tried to use a sussur flower (assuming that's what you're talking about) to cheese a fight that wasn't in the underdark and learned the hard way that they instantly wilt if you carry them around outside the underdark. Thankfully your camp chest is a magical refrigerator that preserves them and I have one left in there. I haven't gotten to the shar temple yet, but I'll try to remember the flower if I have trouble when I get there.

Oh I didn't know they wilt outside the underdark. Good to know.

nothing that i've heard

Im hoping they do what Firaxis did with Xcom and just add to the main game. They could get miles out of just adding other races and subclasses like genie warlock. It'd be great if they would add more characters to pick that lean toward evil alignments. I havent played an evil game yet, but it just seems like you're sacrificing so much just to play an evil character. You get Minthara, but lose Karlach, Wyll and Halsin, and at the same time the tieflings die and you miss out on the awesome items the blacksmith can make. Just feels like some of the better things in the game are simply not there for you, and then there isnt much to fill the hole.

You can still make a silencer weapon with the susu bark. I made a dagger at the time for Asterion, just in case, but I never used it because I already had better weapons.
