Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

I haven't seen this mentioned too much but holy shit, what about the music in a fight against a certain devil in act 3. I don't think I've ever heard that kind of thing in a video game even tho it's such a simple thing to do.

I'm talking about how Raphael sings on the soundtrack in his own boss fight <45>

That was my favorite part of the game and Raphael is one of my favorite boss battles in any game. Dude is a straight up Disney villain lol

Is there seriously no PS5 disc available in English? How is that possible?

I think I remember hearing about this beforehand. Not surprised though the stats show physical is dying. It's so crazy how MS tried to force the digital future and if they would have just patiently waited they would have had it without all the backlash.

Even if it came out today nothing could have saved that Xbox One showcase. Always needing online to play games and not being able to share a physical copy of a game you own will never be accepted.

It's really too bad, thanks for the reply

One thing really disappointed me in the lower city of Act 3

Felt like Sarevok was a waste. Now, a large part of that was due to my own BG and BG 2 playthroughs and the head canon I created. I was a paladin "Good guy" and you can eventually convince Sarevok to renounce his bloodline and he actually changes alignment. So it was kinda disappointing for him to show up and be all "Yup, still a murder-bro!". Even that wasnt a huge deal, but combined with the fact that he just shows for a quick boss fight to get slaughtered sort of made his defeat in the original game seem kind of trite. Im kinda wondering why there was even a need to include him.

Wouldn’t that he epic if you had the option to challenge him to a fiddle contest as a bard?

Maybe I should email Larian studios

I agree. He was completely out of place in my opinion and felt tacked on for nostalgias sake, Just like Minsc

I want NG+
I’m in the camp the agrees NG+ doesn’t make sense for this game. But what if I told you you could make your own NG+ through mods?

There are mods out there now that let you adjust the AI and the enemies stats to your liking. You can also do things like alter the rate you gain XP and even unlock level 20

I never played the other games so it didn't seem like anything to me. Actually seemed kind of cool to get more background on Orin. From your POV though I could see that being disappointing.

I haven't looked into just how modder-friendly this game is, but I think there is a very high chance that there will be mods that provide entirely new campaigns to play. Hopefully there will be official expansion campaigns released as well, even if the level cap doesn't change. I'd love to see this game become like NWN2 with a shit load of different campaigns available.

Yeah I don’t know if they can do that with this game.

I agree. Another thing that irked me was just how much better his original voice actor was

My top 5 boss fights:

1. Raphael - Music, arena, lead up. Just amazing
2. Ansur the Dragon
3. Sarevok
4. Cazador
5. Orin

Apparently there is a way to have Karlach , Wyll (non-devil form) , Minthara all as companions in one playthrough . I don’t know the specifics I briefly came across a video from YT. I’ll post it later when I’m back from work.

Has anyone done an evil playthrough and burnt down the Emerald Grove?

here’s the video

I just can't grab Minthara because Dammon dies. The Armor of Persistence, Legacy of the Masters, and Boots of Persistence he sells in act 3 are all just so nice, maybe better than the Helldusk armor. And the Flawed Helldusk armor set in act 2 is also quite good, especially the helmet and gloves.

Being able to have non devil Wyll is nice though. He looks dumb with the horns.
