Multiplat BALDUR'S GATE III

im at the last portion of the gauntlets of shar. dont know why, but i feel a need to go back to get the blood of lathander for shart to wield.

Nice I already have it but haven't completed this place yet. It's what I plan on doing tonight.

Only got to play for like 45 mins this week. Didn't want to play much since I didn't really have much gaming time and I hate short sessions with this game. So tonight's going to be fun as hell.

Man, the unpolished, buggy 3rd act is a bummer. Multiple broken quests and a lot of them just don't flow very well. Gonna put it on ice till it gets another big patch.

Weird, I didn't encounter a single bugged quest in my first playthrough, on my second now on Tactician difficulty, haven't made it to Act 3 yet.

It's actually pretty fun. Wish i had the me tho. Heard it makes life easier

Did anyone play any of the origins besides Dark Urge? I was kinda curious how much different it would be to play as one of the characters? If one of them was in your party during your playthrough, does that mean you basically saw everything from their origin story? Or does it have noticeably more depth?

I was wondering the same thing.

Yeah, that's a great weapon for her. Also gives you a powerful radiant AOE spell, definitely worth it. She felt kind of useless to me in combat in act 1, but she's really coming into her own now like a healer/tank + radiant damage dealer. You can just walk around near enemies with that concentration spell Spirit of Guardians doing damage to everyone, and I've got her the Grymforge mould shield that throws enemies prone when it procs a reaction from her.

I was also near the end of the Shar temple, but then I read online you're supposed to do the Moonshine Towers first for a better outcome for some of the prisoners. So I'm doing that first. I think after that act 2 is basically finished, if that's true it's quite a bit shorter than act 1.

you still have a good few hours before the end of Act 2. Moonrise gives you a few quests

You still have moonrise itself. then oubilette/mind flayer colony. big boss battle. finishing shar temple lets you get Nightsong/Aylin for the three boss battles to come so i highly suggest doing it just for that. makes the boss fight a lot easier. also helps with blood of lathander as well

Just finished killing the 3 Goblin bosses. Gut and the Drow weren't too bad, but the other guy took me 2 times. 2nd time the bear and Shadowheart were behind a wall jerking themselves off while the battle was going on. Not sure how I managed to win.

I feel like I may have missed out on a few quests from the Grove.

Took me a lot more than 2 times on tactician.

Finished up Shar temple and it was amazing. Cleared out the rest of the map but I still have that gold monster to deal with.

Wyll's Dagger Cloud is freaking amazing.

Wyll's Dagger Cloud is freaking amazing.

I don’t use Wyll but Gale has it and it’s his best skill by far. If I can funnel the enemy through one location even better. I love pushing people back into it if they walk out.

Hit level 11.

Gale is insanely powerful. Halsin is almost unkillable with the wild shape ability. Shadowheart has been crucial as a healer/supporter but also picked up some high damage spells. My paladin + haste spell wrecks everything. Fights have been a breeze.

Possible spoilers :

Yea on act2 it’s some monster that keeps asking for gold.
The bigger enemies like the gold-plated woman and the fat bartender are all some kind of relative of Thorm, I think. I managed to 'talk' them to death. Same for Rafael's monster nemesis.

I thought that design for the gold villian looked amazing, reminded me a lot of souls-like designs.

So I ended up finishing eliminating all the goblins, and now have an owlbear as an animal companion. This is cool.

Made it into the smugglers hideout, and because I opened the case (didn't take anyting) they attacked me. No cool, and a big mistake.

Cool move of the day #1, I had three of them on a bridge, and instead of picking them off one by one, I collapsed the bridge. Enjoy falling into a chasm dicks.

Cool move part #2. After wiping them out, I noticed oil and gun powder all on the ground, leading to more barrels of powder. One fire arrow and KABLOOOOOM!!! it was spectacular.

Karalack and Shadowheart are so much fun to hear banter back and forth.

Using the environment to kill is my favorite thing in this game. Aggrod this boss to the roof of a building and then used misty step with gale to get right in front of him and toss him three stories down, instant death. Boss had 400+ health.

Just finished up Act 2 which was really hard. Good thing this game lets you save mid fight .
