Downloaded it yesterday on my PS5. Had stuff going on so I didn't get to start it.

Yea I noticed but my group was full so I couldn’t even see my options. Looked online though and looks like it’s a lot of custom characters then I found out you could respec characters also.

I just got the option this morning from Withers to hire the hirelings lol.
I’ve read online that people will make wizards with certain spells so you can go to camp and cast what you need so you don’t have to waste spell slots.

So far I’m actually enjoying La’zele , her and ShadowHeart banter in the party is hilarious. I’m now on the hunt for Karlach so La’zele probably just gonna go back to camp when I get her

I’ve been trying to get Karlach all morning so far but I keep getting distracted . I’m level 3 and just made it to the Dark Village and I’m just bout to grab the book of thay

Yea some of these characters I wish I would have got earlier especially the vampire guy. I thought he was garbage but he’s actually destroying people. I added a luck trait and he’s destroying people.

I’m also seeing that throwing certain items is so OP when mixed right. Did it on accident and destroyed this crew that was wrecking me no matter what I did.

Need some help, got the vampire stuck in jail at the druid place and I need to know how to get him out without having to go on a killing spree.

You should be able to jump out from the cell from the left corner . Keep on jumping from ledge to ledge till you get to a ladder

Mixing grease and fire and smoke bombs has been insane for me on my barb. He gets damage increased from throwing and just destroys.

Is the game that good in the first couple of acts to warrant its score then? If the game feels rushed in Act 3 I wonder how it scored so well. I don't love Zelda as much as other people do but at least I haven't heard people say that the game falls off in the final act. Seems like a lot of devs frontload their games because they know reviewers won't play more than 40 hours since they've got other stuff to move on to.

The game is so packed with content I'd wager it doesn't really matter. I'm about 30 hours in and still on act 1

The game definitely does not fall apart in the final act. The fights got a little buggy wheee it would often sit on an npcs turn and do nothing for like 30 seconds, but that seems to be fixed now.

A lot happens in act 3. Act 3 is fuckin huge. Almost to big imo

Have you tried the owl bear strat? You transform your Druid into the owl bear have someone else cast enlarge, use the ability owlbear ability of meteor jump. You end up doing like 800 damage

I’ve seen it but I don’t have a Druid or the spells to do it. Don’t even have spells to shrink myself for all these holes I find.

I believe Halsin becomes part of your party in the Under Dark, from some of the YouTube videos I’ve seen. He also says he joining your party after you side with them after the Druid Grove. So I’m gonna try that out lol.

For the holes, do you have the spell or scroll of shrink person? That might help with some of the holes/burrows you find same with a potion or scroll of gaseous form. If you’re really curious could also add a hireling with the Druid class for animal shape. That would also get you down to explore the holes

I forgot about the hireling might need to do that.

There’s either spells,scrolls, potions for about anything you need. Problems are finding them. The gaseous form potion I got from a side quest I think or just rando looting . I haven’t used it yet, being a gnome I can fit and hide behind a lot

Bought the preorder. Ive been playing simce i got home Saturday. Loving it so far. Just got to the Underdark via the Zhent Hideout. Still trying to fogure out the optimal Party. This is what I'm running.

Yea, I really feel Desperados 3 is an underrated gem, I also loved it and would play Desperados 4 if they make it. Thanks for the Shadow Tactics recommendation. Some of that stuff is on sale on Steam right now and when I looked I also see "Shadow Gambit" which just came out and is by the same developer and publisher, but its pirates.

I got Shadow Tactics xbox key for $10, may be able to find a very cheap Steam key from a 3rd party seller.

I went right into Shadow Gambit and it's just as great, but has a more animated look. Unfortunately it's Mimimi Studio's last game. It's now that they've become one of my favorite stealth-strategy developers, but they at least went out releasing quality games.

They've held my interests to not get BG3 for my PS5, Larian is now saying it'll be released on Xbox by the end of the year.
