13 of the most iconic bands/musicians you've never listened to

1. The Grateful Dead - I can't name a single song of theirs, and I'm pretty sure I have no idea what they even sound like

2. Taylor Swift - Don't know if she is iconic yet, but she is obviously well known. I can honestly say I've never heard a single song by her and if I have it's been by accident.

(Not sure if they are "iconic" or not. I had a hard time with this category. There are plenty of popular musical acts I've never listened to, but I don't know that any of them are necessarily iconic.)

-It's hard to think of an iconic band/musician for which I've never heard anything (there are probably recent artists but I don't know who's considered iconic). She's one of the best-selling artists ever and a great vocalist, but I've only heard one or two songs from the radio.

This is partly the reason I went with 'iconic' instead of 'famous'. I could probably list 100+ famous artists I've never listened to, but it would be more challenging if I limited the category to hall of fame or legendary types. But if it makes the list any easier, it could include any extremely popular musicians as well.

Sorry, I messed things up when I quoted Jackonfire's post and I didn't edit it in time. This should be number 10 (Backstreet Boys should be 8).

I'm sure either I had in mind will blow-baffle some folk...
