Media Bad sparring partner drops Kevin Lee

Looks bad, but I’m not gonna jump on the dude before we know the full story. I remember shitting on the big guy Sanchez(RIP) for purposely hurting Strickland without knowing the whole story and I regretted.

Right. So you just hit him instead of just movin out of the fuckin way
I'm not sure if the guy felt bad about it or whatever I'm NOT a professional fighter but if someone was running at me empty like that i might instinctively clock him

Fucking hell what a mong this Mirali character is. Kevin's knee wasn't even going to connect, just him flexing a bit.

No wonder he wants it deleted from instagram. Disgusting.

Obviously sparring with someone he doesn't know. Not the best idea at his level and considering his recent history. Then again, this sport, yeesh.

Remember when most of Sherdog was slobbing on Kevin Lee's knob, thinking he could dethrone Khabib and Tony? <lol>

Well he had the style that people wanted to see against Khabib, and him knocking out Gregor G, another guy who we wanted to see fight Khabib, of course intensified such talks.

Unfortunatley that was his last hurrah.

But I like FKL and wish he could do better. People like to ridicule the guy and granted, he did talk alot of shit, but I look past that, I think he's a good guy and wish him well.

The sparring partner went ALL-in on that hook..
Thoughts?

Huseinov hits hard. He faceplanted Payton Talbott's sparring partner in his last fight.

I'm not a fan of dropping people in sparring, but Lee was going for a flying knee and ran right into that one -- kinda his fault here.

Man, that was rough. I don't even like Kevin Lee but he didn't deserve that. Watch it a few times, Lee is going maybe 20%. Looks like he's just going through the motions of a move and gets cracked. Idk, maybe that dude doesn't like Kevin, or is just a bad sparring partner.

I think it's the culture of that gym. They spar very hard. It produces guys who are familiar with a brawl but those fighters tend to be real basic. You can't really experiment and try out different techniques when every sparring session is a brawl.

I never saw the hype. He had a decent win streak going but his best win was Michael Chiesa and a long win streak at 155 doesn't mean much when their are so many great fighters in that weight class and if one isn't good in all areas, they get exposed fairly quickly. With Kevin, we already knew his striking wasn't too good, his cardio wasn't the greatest and not only was he chinny, he didn't react well when he started getting hit or when the fight wasn't going his way, seemed to look for an out. Him KOing Gregor (who had great credentials in wrestling but not much else in MMA) was certainly a last hurrah but considering how he lost to both Ragin' Al and RDA before that, it shouldn't have meant much to others. Has he fought since he was even resigned, losing to Rinat?
