Idk what happened before but just the way Kevin Lee threw that knee like that with no intention to land or really no motion at all kinda showed me they werent going hard.
 
I hope this doesn't put a halt to his Lights OUT! Championship title run. He should be fine by the next Eagle FC event.

What was gona head gear do for a punch to the chin ?

Also if it was on the temple where there's headgear, it's basically like just thicker gloves, it's just padding, not even particualry thick.

you're right, let's just full blast each other with no headgear in training for no money whatsoever. it makes for great training and long term health benefits!

I have sparred with guys like that. Sometimes they warn you ahead of time.

And of course, also this^^.

When I spar with my trainer who is a former pro kick boxer, he usually goes pretty hard, but if I'd leave myself open like this, he would usually just barely touch my chin and say something like "keep your hands up".

You're forgetting the most important rule of all... Protect yourself at all times. Dick move to throw flying knees in sparring in the first place but that punch doesn't do shit if Kevin keeps his feet grounded and his hands up.

However it's "sparring" and thus right hands like that have zero business being thrown. That right hand was thrown with the intention of a KO.
 
That was fuckin stupid. FKL was just timing the knee he wasnt gonna throw it. The other guy just goin for the KO for some stupid reason.
