Media Bad sparring partner drops Kevin Lee

it was clear to me that Kevin Lee was not really trying to land the shot, just practicing and going through the motions. I am not sure why his partner would throw the big right hand. I avoid sparring partners like that.

Dudes gonna get his ass beat the next time they spar.

Its obvious that Kevin had 0 intention of landing that knee. That said, it was pretty shit technique on Kevin. The appropriate response from the sparing partner is to lightly touch Kevin letting him know that he was vulnerable to the strike and keep his defense up. Not crack him with a power shot when he's in a vulnerable situation. Total dick move.

context is missing but he throws a light shadow box worth flying need to simulate it and this guy hits him with an insanely hard punch and still didnt ko him clean. that guy is weak. someone should make him be naked

it makes more sense if you think about it like the guy who did it doesn't give a fuck about Kevin Lee. there's a lot of guys like that. they don't care about their training partners, they only care about themselves.
to be fair when you are mr nice guy in this game you are the one who gets hurt you are the one who gets cracked. its a be the bully mentality. its a fight sport. if i was a fighter i'd just brutally knock out anyone who walked through the gym doors. i mean absolute idiot! absolute idiot! id go punch after punch. thats the thing i dont train because i dont want to hurt other people. if you train you should hurt other people itll make them less weak. i cant do this. but maybe someone out there will go to jail and be a bad person. i hope not. but who knows. its the fight game

I remember him being promoted as the next big thing. Time flies.
I must've said it 15 times to anyone who would listen, he will be the one to beat Khabib. Wowza I was wrong. To be fair though, at one time he was pretty damn legit. His fight vs Barboza was awesome and super impressive. I also believe had he not had staph the week he fought Ferguson, he would've beat him. Coulda, shoulda, and woulda

Launched himself forward, hands up, chin high, both feet off the ground... that's really asking to get knocked out. You don't do this kind of shit when you're a pro unless it's explicitly a light sparring session.

The other guy might be a bit of jerk, but if it's hard sparring he didn't do anything blatantly wrong. You're supposed to throw a right hand in that situation.
You can throw a right hand to let the other guy know he's using bad technique/form and leaving himself open without trying to knock the guy out.
Hard sparring doesn't mean trying to give everyone else CTE. You still pull your punches.

An' mandem Saiyan MMA safer den slaps smdh 🤦

This is a video circulating at the moment but not sure how recent it is, I can’t see fighter Kevin Lee’s head tattoo

Kevin Lee is getting trained by Matt Riddle

Looked like instinct kicking in rather than intentional. Wear headgear.
