I would’ve like the show if it was in another setting.I am serious. You are thinking in the short term. I don't necessarily think the NFL is thinking in the long term, they're thinking about money, but in this case, there may be some coincidental parallelism between the two. One shouldn't take things for granted. If there's one wisdom I've gained by my middle age it's how blindingly fast things I thought were entrenched in culture & the world order can evaporate.
I don't understand why you're so offended by a halftime show that was intended to grow football's audience. Again, I don't give a shit about halftime shows, myself. Halftime is for refreshment. The show is for the girls and the gays.
I don’t think pissing off your main base to try and pander to a bigger audience is good business.
But hey, I don’t know what kind of metrics they’re looking at.
Looking at it from a patriotic lens, that was pretty shitty to do.
I think they should had some country artist for the first half and then bad bunny performs his ish showing that two different kinds of people can get along have fun and be friends. Two styles and everyone enjoys and respects both, win win.
Instead they chose a side.
