I read a lot of spoilers lol but I don't care anyway, gonna watch next weekend.

I missed a lot of MCU movies and I'm trying to watch this week, but I'm still missing Civil War, Ant-Man and Black Panther. Any of the three have any important connection to infinity War?

I agree with Thor’s entrance, but they missed the boat for not using immigrant song during that scene. Still an awesome entrance though.
My theater cheered when Thor made that entrance.
I was surprised Thor didn’t look for Asgardian survivors. I took that to mean that there are none.
I’ll say this for the film, if you’re going to subvert fan expectations, THAT’S how you do it (I’m looking at you Rian Johnson).

Civil War, yes. BP and Ant-Man establish characters, so, that's up to you.

Ant-Man has no connection, but I think he’ll come into play in the next one. A lot of fighting takes place in Wakanda and the characters from BP are obviously in that.

Do you think Loki and Gamora could come back as well?
My guess is that Gamora is now in the stone and they need to find a way to get her out or maybe she sabotages him from within the stone.

So, theory time.
  • At the end of Ant-Man and the Wasp, people will start disappearing and Ant-Man will join those who survived in battle in Avengers 4.
  • Ms. Marvel is a movie set in older times, origin story, so the post credit scene will be her getting Fury's message of a call to arms.
  • RDJ, Cap and the old crew who's contracts are up will sacrifice themselves to bring those who perished back to existence, probably bringing back Red Skull in the process.
After watching this movie multiple times, it just keeps getting better.

RJ and Kathleen Kennedy (who bears ultimate responsibility for much of what makes TLJ problematic) do not understand story structure that well. Subverting expectations isn't a goal, it is an occasional side effect of good storytelling.

As an example, a romantic subplot between Thanos and hulk would have 'subverted expectations', but it still would have been really dumb. That is what the Russo bros seem to get, and RJ and KK don't.

Antman doesn't matter.

Civil War will explain why the Avengers aren't United to start. Black Panther just shows how advanced Wakanda is but doesn't affect where Inifinity was is going. You will miss details but it's not necessarily a must.

Saw it 4 times since Thursday. Originally said 9.5/10 because I wanted more hulk and cap but I have changed my vote to 20/10. Fucking ridiculous. Felt like getting jerked off by angels for 3 hours.

Absolutely amazing to see in the theater on opening night too. Standing ovation before and after from the fans. It was something special.

Sheer poetry:)

I forgot a lot of what went on in Age of Ultron, why was vision so weak in Infinity wars?

And Margot Robbie would have been a sick captain marvel, too bad shes with DC.

Yeah, but have they explained what that actually means though?
He doesn't have any powers. Any powers that he had, or potentially had, died with Ego.

We simply do not have any information yet to understand StarLord's strengths or limits. We know the attached to Ego and the source of his power is gone. But that in no way means he does not have powers via his parentage that are dormant or he has not tapped into yet. You could think of him as clearly being a mutant with fantastic potential due to whatever genes Ego contributed to him. Ego dying would not remove from him what he was.

Ok at the beginning of infinity wars? I saw that but is it realistic he get that injured from that level of villain?

I thought Vision was super powerful?
Yes, at the beginning. He seemed confused by how the weapon negated his ability to phase. They never explained it beyond that.
