the only 'problem' which not really a problem but maybe I just misunderstood this:

I felt like they didn't really do a great job of portraying Thanos as actually loving Gamora....respect and sympathy yes, but love? Which is why she clearly got all cocky saying 'ha, you love nothing, nobody' or whatever. Granted she could just be really jaded, or just not understood things as a kid, but she seemed to not even contemplate that she'd be the answer to that puzzle.....

Was that just me?

One would think that a person sociopathic enough to kill half of the world and think they're in the right... might not even be able to feel actual 'love', right?

Did Thanos specifically take Gamora because he knew he would need her at this moment?

Or am I looking to far into it

I remember him always calling her his favorite daughter

He didnt know where it was, she did, thats why he was with her in the first place.

I meant when he took her as a kid

Did he know that he would need somebody that he loved at the moment he took her back then

Or was it just something he happened to find out later and it just worked out for him

Seems to me that her being the one he loved and her taking him to the soul stone and him needing to kill her is all a little too coincidental

Agreed. It's not how I would have done it, given his power.

But of course, the other problem is one of scale. He's trying to effect massive change on the entire universe at once. Fine-tuning the culling would take time he didn't feel he could spare.

I think he explained it when he was talking about his solution to Titan's overpopulation problem. He said it would have been fair, random, equal for the rich, poor, the powerful etc. To do any fine tuning based on anything would be unfair.

He adopted her as a child because he thought she displayed courage, and he always respected that.

Dunno, I mean she turned into the baddest female assasin ever, perhaps he he saw greatness in her, or maybe it was love at first site, Thanos that ole softy.

i guess the Tobias easter egg was just for him

Whoa. Is this legit?

I wonder if this ties into his comment where he said he denied his destiny "the first time," but I don't think he knew way back when that Gamora would be his ultimate sacrifice. It's certainly possible but aforethought would have diminished the sacrifice, and the sacrifice is, I believe, an upgrade to the comic book story. In the book, it's the embodiment of Death that he wishes to impress, and so the cost is going through the trials of attaining the stones and fighting the Marvel heroes. In the movie, he's not trying to impress anyone and his emotional motivations are tied to Gamorra and exact a greater cost.

Selection may not be fair, but it's far more efficient. You must kill either a crack addict or a heart surgeon. Easy choice, isn't it?

Not all lives are equal in value. Sad, but true.

My new theory is that Marvel turned Hulk into a jobber because he agreed to sign with DC...
<21>

Training with DC certainly won't hurt. It's gonna help him improve his wrestling and he may not get outgrappled by Thanos in their next fight. Wise decision.

Sounds very Hitlerish, for the sake of trying to help you sympathize with Thanos, that was the right choice to make from a screenwriting POV. If he was going on about erasing all the weak and stupid to let the better people have the resources, he woulda come off as pure evil moreso.

One big plothole i was just thinking about is vision. How were bp and ca able to use vibranium to defend thanos childers attacks but vision, who is made of vibranium, is easily peirced.

First 3rd of the film award rough. Bringing everyone together felt tedious... but god damn were the second and third act epic as fuck.

Who are the most attractive ladies that have been in the MCU? I'm going to say Hayley Atwell, Zoe Saldana, and Evangeline Lily.

Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth Debicki.

And no twig jokes, I thank you.

but that crack addict may have a mutant son and the heart surgeon could be a cannibal :eek::eek::eek:...

yep. i didn't even realize it until i saw something about 'Arrested Development' characters are the property of such n such.
That's fucking awesome! And I'm the guy who hates when STAR WARS names its minor characters after pop culture references such as Harry Connick Jr and the Beasties' catalog.

I think it was specifically the weapon used by Glave that could do it. Cap fought him a bit using Prozimas weapon, and had no Vibranium. Did BP ever fight any of them? I wanna say no but so much happens maybe im mistaken.
