Or kill herself
lol huh? so as soon as Thor tells her about Thanos she shouldve just killed herself? like on the spot?

that makes more sense to you than trying to get the stone first?

She is supposed to be one of the most dangerous people in the galaxy. She knows Thanos, and his plans to destroy half of all life....and she was supposed to go hide somewhere?

I think Thanos would eventually have found a way to make her come out anyway. Either by kidnapping and torturing Nebula/Star Lord or by threatening to wipe out earth or other planets one by one if she didn't came out or something like that. Plus he has the space stone and can teleport all over the place in an instant and has a huge army who can scout for him. She wouldn't have been able to hide for very long imho.

so Red Skull was the old Templar Knight from Last Crusade essentially right?

shoulda dropped a 'choose wisely' IMO

I liked the movie. The whole Thanos arc was fucking amazing. I have only two complaints...well three or four actually. First one is the dialogue....I know Marvel is all about cracking jokes and being kid friendly but some of those quips kept taking me out of the movie. I groaned every time they started making jokes. Secondly, the movie ends one motherfucker of a cliffhanger! How do they reverse everything??? How do they stop Thanos??? I can't wait a whole year for those answers! I wanna know now! Also...why the fuck did they have to nerf Hulk that much? Was it really that necessary? I'm guessing he gets a redemption arc in the next one but still....stupid. I'd also bitch and whine about Star Lord being fucking retarded for punching Thanos but I'm guessing this is all part of Strange's master plan to defeat Thanos.

Also, holy shit Brolin acted the everliving FUCK out Thanos. He really brought him to life as a character. Another note, what I find amusing is that Marvel just did dark and gritty better than DC has ever done. Thanos killing Gamora and his killing spree in general beats Superman's death in BvS and Zod's death in MoS. DC tries but maan when Marvel does something they do it with STYLE.

we have only one movie theater in my city (and one on base, but a single screen), and it's a drive-in believe it or not.

Tried to go on Friday, gate opens at 730 first movie at 8 (they replayed Black Panther after Avengers: IW) but the line was jam packed all the way to the road from 5pm on.....so you couldn't even turn in just to wait in line. I've never seen that in this theater's existence, nothing even remotely close to that

For those that don't know where 29 Palms is, I live in LITERAL Hills Have Eyes territory (part of Part II was filmed here) something like that shouldn't even be possible

It would be consistent with the movie considering he let many of the other heroes live inexplicably.

There wasnt anything inexplicable. He said in the movie his punishment is doled out randomly. 50% of all populations, gone. He didnt pick and choose.

1) Plenty of people have failed Thanos without him killing them. Has he even killed a single person for failing him? He's also made no attempt to find and punish Loki during all this time. It also didn't even appear like he was interested in killingl Loki when the scene begins. Loki forced his hand.

2) The only competent person with Thanos was Ebony Maw, the others were getting their asses handed to them by the weakest Avengers.

3/4) Anywhere. They werent even paying attention to Loki, he literally just waltzed up to them and said hey guys, here I am, I want to join your side.

5) Literally ANYTHING besides pull the dumbest move in the book. Literally anything would have been a more intelligent move. Think about what you are saying. You're claiming walking up to Thanos with a knife up his sleeve was a smarter move than using any of his powers. This makes no sense.

All five of these options are clearly more intelligent decisions than walking up to Thanos with a visible knife up his sleeve.

1) Thanos was not about to waste his time and energy tracking down Loki. He had a mission. Thanos' brutality was established from the get go. He destroyed his home planet, and Ebony Maw says that he would be killed if he failed to get the stone from Strange. Thanos was in no rush. Loki posed no threat.
The point is, LOKI had ZERO reason to believe that Thanos would let him leave considering their history, and that EVERYONE ELSE besides Thor was murdered.

2) Proxima and Corvus took out Vision. Proxima lied to the Avengers and said they killed Corvus. Corvus then snuck inside Wakanda, disrupted Shuri's work, and got Vision out into the open.
And the big guy was defeated by the Hulk Buster...the thing that defeated the Hulk.

3/4) You really think they didn't know he was there? Lol Why was Thanos on the ship? He was on the ship because he knew the tesseract was on the ship, and that Loki had it. You think they wouldn't of noticed the guy with the object they came for trying to escape or hide? He is literally the one guy still alive on the ship..and he's going to just disappear?

5) It didn't matter what Loki did. He was fucked. Lol at "his powers" What are his powers? Making holograms of himself? That would have fooled, or done anything against Thanos and the 4 trained killers watching him?

Of course, and it was dumb to rely on Starlord. It just wasn’t realistic. It was even dumber that she told him for torturing her creepy sister. This is the universe we are talking about...

I wouldn't of hated that, but Loki is surrounded by 5 of the most dangerous super people in the galaxy...not Hawkeye and Black Widow. The chances of him being able to pull off that move without them noticing seems pretty nonexistent

And who knows, maybe he did make a double, and that's what Thanos killed.

He does walk offscreen when the Hulk attacks and then reappeara before dying ignobly.

I wouldn't be shocked if he was dead but treachery is his schtick, after all.

well in the comic books they actually also married and had children (using magic to create them).

Yeah and in the comics Thanos was to bone death, they cut out most of the really ridiculous stuff, but then again hollywood fell in love with a girl and fishman boning, so I guess this is nothing in comparison.

its a movie about fucking aliens trying to wipe out half of the universe with a snap of a finger...... and you are demanding realism? lol

Yeah, there was no 'hiding'.
Thanos is not "some dude" He is a man, with a very particular set of skills. He would find Gomorrah, or make her come to him in the ways that you mentioned
He is a genius, and a master tactician. The guy has been scouring the universe for tiny pebble stones, and he wouldn't do the same to find his daughter?

They didnt say it in the movie, but my take is that Hulk isnt coming out because he got fucking smashed by Thanos. He got full on Holly Holmed and now he has the purple pillow in front of his face.

Im calling it now. Somehow Hulk is gonna get ahold of the power stone and go on the most epic Hulk out of all time.

I mean we all know there is a part 2, but the Russos were right when they said this could be a standalone movie.
This was Thanos' movie. The movie ends with him accomplishing his goal. The bad guy won this time
Roll credits.

So I don't get these characters. If Gammorah has some knowledge that she doesn't want Thanos to get, then why does she head straight towards where she knows Thanos is going to be?

It's not knowledge she wants Thanos to not have. She knows something about him that would get her killed if he knew she knew. She heads straight there because they need to get the stones or everyone dies.

So it's avoid Thanos and die or go to Thanos and maybe live but most likely die.
