This is why AoU was such a disappointment. In the Hulk v Hulkbuster fight, the ending could have been Hulk coming back to his senses and reverting to Banner. Instead, Stark knocks him out presumably which completely nerfs Hulk.

Just thoughtless writing.

That whole movie was a slap in the face to each and every person who watched it. God, I couldn't be happier that piece of shit Whedon is gone. It's ironic because I really loved the first one, but AoU is the worst film Marvel has ever made, which is saying a lot considering how absolute dogshit Iron Man 2 & 3 were.

I think we can all agree we need to see Thanos do this in the movie:)

They'd better make Thanos look Jacked. Thanos in the Comics could legit ask Thor, "Do you even Lift, bro?":)

I'll echo what I've always warned about this movie:

If they fuck up Thanos' character, it'll be a shame. He isn't a typical mustache twirling villain....he is a philosopher, a scientist, a thinker, and even has a redemptive arc after the Infinity Gauntlet stuff. He is basically an anti-hero hell-bent on courting death and impressing her with feats of universe-wide slaughter.

He wants to reside in her realm.

As for the theatrical universe, he sees the Avengers as a way to get killed, because nobody else can do the job (so he can be with death)
AND/OR sees them as a great way to prove to death that he is the number-one-killing machine.

Death is personified as a woman in the Marvel Universe, but she still stands for the natural process itself.

It would be great way to end the movie: after most of the heroes have been slaughtered, the few survivors finally, somehow, manage to pull out the win(probably by stealing the IG when Thanos is distracted). They use it to kill Thanos. As he lies dying he smiles at the remaining Avengers and whispers, "Thank you!"

We then see Thano's spirit embrace Death, finally at peace because the, "woman" he loves has accepted him at last...

What can I say? I'm a romantic at heart.:)

It wouldn't be a Marvel Studios movie without Tony making some quip about "I would do anything for love... but i won't do that." <roll end credits>

If Whedon was directing, I could see that happening.:)

Are Tyrion Lannister and Tony Stark about to cross paths? Sources tell Variety that Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage is in early talks for a key role in Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War.

Production on the seventh season of Game of Thrones recently wrapped. Since the schedule for the show has moved from a summer shoot to a fall shoot, Dinklage’s schedule allowed him to board the latest Avengers pic which is expected to shoot sometime in early summer.

The plan is shoot the next two Avengers films (Infinity War and a yet untitled sequel) back-to-back. Sources indicate Dinklage is expected to appear in both.

Plot details are vague, other then the superhero team returning to face the Marvel mega-villain Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin). Dinklage’s role is also unknown at this time.

Dinklage is one of the few new cast members to be added to the franchise. Previous stars like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans are on board to return.

After directing the last two installments in the Captain America franchise, Anthony and Joe Russo now take over the reigns of directing the Avengers franchise, with the previous two pics directed by Joss Whedon. Avengers: Infinity War has a release date of May 4, 2018.

Besides “Game of Thrones,” Dinklage was also recently seen in the Universal comedy “The Boss” starring Melissa McCarthy. He’s appeared in a comic book movie before, playing Boliver Trask in FOX’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” but is new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It just keeps getting better and better somehow

Wow, this (or these, depending on how they really do 3 and 4) movie is going to be insane.

MODOK incoming.

Who do you think he'll be dragon??

I'm hoping Dinklage is playing MODOK but I'm skeptical. I'm guessing he'll be a new character, maybe an alien associated with Thanos.

Anyways, it gives me a chance to use my Dinklage/Modok image I made back in 2012.

While it would be great if the Dink was Uatu and CGI'd to be bigger than everyone else, the Watcher might be part of the F4 deal with Fox?

Maybe they'll trade Ego back to Fox for Uatu and draft picks.
