Yeah, I mean I like Dinklage and all, but they act like there's a shortage of actors you can cast in Marvel Comics movies.
Bad enough Alfre Woodard was Black Mariah on Cage after she was the dead soldier's mom in Civil War. Though I guess in that case the small role probably opened up the larger one...
Not sure why more people don't realize dinklage is exceptionally bad and terribly overrated as an actor. I guess they fall in love with his role/character as tyrion and give him all kinds of credit for it. Everything I've seen him in is completely ham-fisted and stilted. He has zero range and no diversity. His voice was so terrible in "destiny" that they took him out and replaced him with someone else.

The reason for this rare double MCU casting snafu is that the head of Marvel Studios (Kevin Feige) and Marvel Television (Ike Perlmutter) are not on good terms.
Perlmutter is a known cheapskate and an un-progressive thinker around the comic book industry and Hollywood. His frugal behind-the-scenes handiwork and narrow-mindedness frustrated Feige who felt handicapped and had to find creative ways around the restrictions.I hate this. This would open up the MCU so much if they all just got along. Do you know where the beef first started between the two?
He delivered a groundbreaking performance in Elf.I'm also not terribly thrilled by his addition to the project. Dinklage is great as Tyrion, but I haven't cared for him everything else I've seen him do. He might be ok in this though, because Pip isn't a very serious character to begin with, so it's not like Dinklage can "ruin" his portrayal.
I don't think he's that bad but he is overrated. I think he's an average actor overall but pretty damn good at his role in GOT.

So when Feige got promoted where he would no longer be under Perlmutter but answer directly to Disney's Alan Horn, that's when the movie and TV world's relationship turn sour. Some of the fallout was there's no longer any crossover between the two worlds and the Inhumans movie was scrapped and is now a television series.

He has like 3 minutes of screen time and beats up will FerrellThe Will Ferrell movie? I dont even remember him being in that.
it's all the marvel universe to meThe Marvel Cinematic Universe and Fox's X-Men Universe are separate, so I don't mind seeing a good actor joining the MCU.
It's the other way around actually. Alfre was cast in Luke Cage first (Sept. 2015) while her small Civil War part was first reported on April 2016.

She's the ultimate bitch. Instead of allowing Thanos to die, and thus be with her, she "curses" him with immortality. So he can never be with the women he loves.
When Thanos finally became sick of being Cosmic Friend Zoned, she prick-teased him into falling for her once again. At one point she appears to him in the form of a small girl.
Death, "Do you find my appearance...discomforting?"
Thanos(refuses to look at her)"Yes".
Death, "Lesson learned, Thanos of Titan. I am Death; I am not off comfort."
She's Betty Ross from the Hulk movie.
Thanos or Hela is gonna dangle his soul in front of Wanda to get her to join them.
