Russo Bros. Teases Star-Lord Will Be in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
![]()
At a press event for Captain America: Civil War, Comicbook.com had the chance to ask the directors - The Russo Brothers - which character they're particularly looking forward to working on Avengers: Infinity War.
"The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that's happened before in the MCU so you don't want to get into spoilers but I'm a big fan of what James Gunn has done," Anthony Russo told Comicbook.com. "[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you'd be very excited," he said, teasing Pratt and Star-Lord's presence in Infinity War.
Joe Russo, on the other hand, is excited to bring the Norse God into the mix and, especially because he knows something about Thor: Ragnarok that we don't.
"I'm excited to work with Thor," Joe Russo says. "They're doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he's gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he's gonna have a real emotional motivation after that."
Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are set for release May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019.

So her wins are not cannon??Eh they do reboots and resets all the time, but that's not what squirrel girl is for. She's just a joke character.
She's not meant to be taken seriously but people that don't read comics hear about her beating galactus or thanos and think wow she must be really powerful.
Nah, that's part of the joke. She has the ability to control squirrels, she's not beating dudes strong enough to blow up planets.
So her wins are not cannon??
Is she part of a 'what if' line? Or alternate future line then??
Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will be in Avengers: Infinity War.Wait so the best cinematic universe character is not gonna be in the new avengers movie.
Fuck that noise
Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will be in Avengers: Infinity War.
I think he's still going to be busting ass, but he won't be busting ass as Cap.Why am I confused here dragon.
He just won't be Cap?? Or will he still be busting ass
I think he's still going to be busting ass, but he won't be busting ass as Cap.
So does this mean no last stand moment from cap at the end where just about everyone else is dead?

Ya I must admit I don't get the Squirrel Girl thing. She's after my comic book era, thankfully. I was told on this site her wins are definitely cannon and by those wins she is definitely one of the strongest characters in the MCU whether they play her for laughs or not, since her stories are not what if, or alternate reality stories. She's in the main universe but she's a joke character. Her wins never show any fight taking place.
Just a shot of her standing over some high level opponent saying gee whiz this one took all my squirrels. They're not meant to be taken seriously and are never mentioned in serious stories.
They don't bring in squirrel girl when some villain is beating the crap out of everyone.

They will be there. But I would temper your expectations for a team rumble.Well hopefully it's more than just Star-Lord. I want the whole freaking GOTG team in there. And hopefully we'll get some nice spats out of it. I definitely see some interesting match-ups.

Guardians of the Galaxy Will Appear in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Solidifying what most Marvel Cinematic Universe fans believed (and hoped) would be the case, Vin Diesel has confirmed that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be part of the Avengers: Infinity War movies in 2018 and 2019.
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 around the corner and production recently wrapping on his xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Fast & Furious 8, Diesel hosted a Facebook for a live chat with his fans to make the statement.
“Next year you’ve got Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 coming and that whole concept started from you all saying ‘when are you gonna be in a Marvel movie?’ And you remember the first picture after that Marvel meeting that I had where I was standing [with] the Avengers thing in the back – some of you can look up that picture…there was this old Avengers copy that was behind me in that picture if you look back on my Facebook page you can find that."
"What’s gonna be surreal is that picture is going to come to pass because now the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page you knew before everybody.”
Previously, the Russo Brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, as well as the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War) confirmed that Star-Lord would be involved with the film.
