Sounds like the perfect segue to a Squirrel Girl movie to me.So thanos's continuing story will be in another marvel movie with another super hero headlining the movie?
Kinda like how every marvel movie somehow ties in together?
I agree with the levels thing. You're not going to find many people who are bigger marvel fans than me but, I feel like avengers II was an incredible let down. While apparently widow, cap, and hawkeye got massive increases in strength(widow punching robots?) Thor on the other hand was extremely depowered. Choked out by Ultron without even landing a punch? Whedon killed avengers in a good way and the killed avengers II in a bad way.
I can only hope that ragnarok overpowers the ever living shit out of Thor and Hulk alike.
Yes it would be too much for casuals considering Marvel has a 20 year plan for the MCU.
If you were introducing action movies to a brand new audience who had never seen one and you had a 20 year plan you don't start with anywhere near a full powered John McClain. You start with a bare knuckled Dirty Harry and build up.
Again I get that us comic nerds just want the movies to pick up where comics left off but that is not smart for the MCU and thus their success so far.
And what are the characters "proper" power level? I've seen Superman and Wonderwoman seem to struggle to lift a car in the comics. They have a range of proper power depending on what point you want to represent. The proper point is not the one based on the last comics you necessarily read.
I see what you're saying, but considering Hemsworth probably wont be around as Thor in 10-15-20 years (and considering modern Superhero movies have been around since the year 2000) I'd like to assume that we're at a place now where they can start bumping up the power levels and things will be ok. Granted, maybe not to start with, but after a character has been in 2-3 films and is someone who can gain more power (like Thor) they should go for it. Especially if audiences can handle GOTG, Doctor Strange, etc, they should be able to handle an amp'd up Thor. Would definitely love to see Odinforce Thor and show him using the God Blast. Hell, even Ruin King Thor.
I also hope to someday see World Breaker Hulk realized on the big screen, if only for a few minutes. Would be absolutely incredible! Also would love to see The Flash move faster than light.
As far as like Superman struggling to lift a car in one arc and then being able to juggle planets in another, it all ranges. My main thing as far as the movies go is instead of playing it safe and keeping things at the lower end, I think they should push them towards the higher end (for some characters). Hulk, Thor, Superman, Ghost Rider, Flash, Thanos, Scarlet Witch, Darkseid, The Infinity Gauntlet, etc. Other characters you can be more reasonable with, like Winter Soldier, Falcon, Cyborg, Hawkeye, etc.
Civil War just happened.. I'm personally burned out. If I owned the company, and we made a billion every time we came out with one, I would come out with them until people stopped going to see them.. And then I would realize that me and my buddies money had turned people into sheeple and that as long as we advertised a lot and did these kind of "internet leaks" that wtevr we wanted to be "in style" would never go out of style.. And that would be good for me and my company.

If all it took were hype and "leaks" people would think of the DC movies in the same light as the Marvel movies which isn't true by a long shot. At the end of the day Marvel movies are successful because they're good. Even if superhero movies isnt your thing you have to see the quality theyre putting out.
You also sound drunk.
I doubt it. Probably going to be less than 2 hours and 30 minutes. Is this gonna be 3 hours?
I hope they still give Thanos enough time. Been too many bad villains in the MCU. We need one that kills a few people. I was honestly hoping the first part might end with like Thanos killing a main character. So that the stakes felt bigger going into the next one.
Hope they make it feel like Thanos actually fuck Shit up.
I'd say we finally see Hulk at full potential, as he will likely be found battling on Skaar. But, I doubt we ever eee Thor fully realised. Dude is really jus a tick below the cosmic entities and beings like Thanos, but inq the context of the MCU!, you can't really show his full power because only a very select few villains (Thanos, Celestials, Beyonder, etc..) can match up w him.
But.......introducing magic into the MCU will be a game changer. Magic can equalize the playing field and allow super powered beings to be matched. Dr. Strange is arguably the most dangerojs man in the MCU (without any Infinity stones) when he has all his artificats
