I bet the second movie is going to be called Infinity Gauntlet.

I agree with the levels thing. You're not going to find many people who are bigger marvel fans than me but, I feel like avengers II was an incredible let down. While apparently widow, cap, and hawkeye got massive increases in strength(widow punching robots?) Thor on the other hand was extremely depowered. Choked out by Ultron without even landing a punch? Whedon killed avengers in a good way and the killed avengers II in a bad way.

I can only hope that ragnarok overpowers the ever living shit out of Thor and Hulk alike.

So thanos's continuing story will be in another marvel movie with another super hero headlining the movie?

Kinda like how every marvel movie somehow ties in together?
Sounds like the perfect segue to a Squirrel Girl movie to me.

I'd say we finally see Hulk at full potential, as he will likely be found battling on Skaar. But, I doubt we ever eee Thor fully realised. Dude is really jus a tick below the cosmic entities and beings like Thanos, but inq the context of the MCU!, you can't really show his full power because only a very select few villains (Thanos, Celestials, Beyonder, etc..) can match up w him.

But.......introducing magic into the MCU will be a game changer. Magic can equalize the playing field and allow super powered beings to be matched. Dr. Strange is arguably the most dangerojs man in the MCU (without any Infinity stones) when he has all his artificats

Yes it would be too much for casuals considering Marvel has a 20 year plan for the MCU.

If you were introducing action movies to a brand new audience who had never seen one and you had a 20 year plan you don't start with anywhere near a full powered John McClain. You start with a bare knuckled Dirty Harry and build up.

Again I get that us comic nerds just want the movies to pick up where comics left off but that is not smart for the MCU and thus their success so far.

And what are the characters "proper" power level? I've seen Superman and Wonderwoman seem to struggle to lift a car in the comics. They have a range of proper power depending on what point you want to represent. The proper point is not the one based on the last comics you necessarily read.

I see what you're saying, but considering Hemsworth probably wont be around as Thor in 10-15-20 years (and considering modern Superhero movies have been around since the year 2000) I'd like to assume that we're at a place now where they can start bumping up the power levels and things will be ok. Granted, maybe not to start with, but after a character has been in 2-3 films and is someone who can gain more power (like Thor) they should go for it. Especially if audiences can handle GOTG, Doctor Strange, etc, they should be able to handle an amp'd up Thor. Would definitely love to see Odinforce Thor and show him using the God Blast. Hell, even Ruin King Thor.

I also hope to someday see World Breaker Hulk realized on the big screen, if only for a few minutes. Would be absolutely incredible! Also would love to see The Flash move faster than light.

As far as like Superman struggling to lift a car in one arc and then being able to juggle planets in another, it all ranges. My main thing as far as the movies go is instead of playing it safe and keeping things at the lower end, I think they should push them towards the higher end (for some characters). Hulk, Thor, Superman, Ghost Rider, Flash, Thanos, Scarlet Witch, Darkseid, The Infinity Gauntlet, etc. Other characters you can be more reasonable with, like Winter Soldier, Falcon, Cyborg, Hawkeye, etc.

I hope they still give Thanos enough time. Been too many bad villains in the MCU. We need one that kills a few people. I was honestly hoping the first part might end with like Thanos killing a main character. So that the stakes felt bigger going into the next one.

Hope they make it feel like Thanos actually fuck Shit up.

Hey I would love to see your version. But to be fair I think your version, as you said earlier, had full strength Thor by Avengers 1 and by Avengers 3 has OdinForce or Ruin Thor and world breaker Hulk by Avengers 3 fighting IG Thanos. If that happened then Squirrel Girl is in the next show because there simply is no where else to go.

The MSU is just too far sighted to paint themselves into that corner so soon and I think most of the moderate fans would go away with that ramping arc.

Civil War just happened.. I'm personally burned out. If I owned the company, and we made a billion every time we came out with one, I would come out with them until people stopped going to see them.. And then I would realize that me and my buddies money had turned people into sheeple and that as long as we advertised a lot and did these kind of "internet leaks" that wtevr we wanted to be "in style" would never go out of style.. And that would be good for me and my company.

If all it took were hype and "leaks" people would think of the DC movies in the same light as the Marvel movies which isn't true by a long shot. At the end of the day Marvel movies are successful because they're good. Even if superhero movies isnt your thing you have to see the quality theyre putting out.

You also sound drunk.

Guardians of the Galaxy Will Appear in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

Solidifying what most Marvel Cinematic Universe fans believed (and hoped) would be the case, Vin Diesel has confirmed that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be part of the Avengers: Infinity War movies in 2018 and 2019.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 around the corner and production recently wrapping on his xXx: Return of Xander Cage and Fast & Furious 8, Diesel hosted a Facebook for a live chat with his fans to make the statement.

“Next year you’ve got Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 coming and that whole concept started from you all saying ‘when are you gonna be in a Marvel movie?’ And you remember the first picture after that Marvel meeting that I had where I was standing [with] the Avengers thing in the back – some of you can look up that picture…there was this old Avengers copy that was behind me in that picture if you look back on my Facebook page you can find that."

"What’s gonna be surreal is that picture is going to come to pass because now the Guardians will be included in Avengers: Infinity War and that’s incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting. Incredibly exciting and something that if you were a part of our page you knew before everybody.”

Previously, the Russo Brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, as well as the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War) confirmed that Star-Lord would be involved with the film.

Russo Brothers Explain Why AVENGERS 4 Got A Name Change

Russo-Brothers-Avengers-Infinity-War-081916-Dragonlord.jpg

Speaking with CinemaBlend, Joe Russo explained why the two Avengers: Infinity War films will have different titles, “We wanted the movie to be very different and distinctive, you know. There's certainly cross-pollination between characters and some story-arcs, but you know, the first movie is very clearly Avengers: Infinity War.”

So, essentially, the film got its name changed to differentiate it from The Avengers: Infinity War. The two’s similarities won’t be enough to mandate sequential Part 1, Part 2 titles. Fans, of course, are now left to wonder what they might find waiting for them in the fourth Avengers flick. But the Russo Brothers aren’t keen on letting any secrets about the project slip.

“In time, we will reveal what the second film is,” Joe said, dashing fans’ hope for a more immediate explanation. And, when the pair were asked when they might reveal the title for Avengers 4, Anthony confirmed the announcement was a long way away. “You'll learn that, but not for quite some time,” he said.

Some fans are glad the title is being withheld. After all, there’s an unavoidable spoiler contained in each of the MCU’s titles. For instance, when Avengers: Age of Ultron was confirmed as a title, fans pretty much knew who the film’s main villain was going to be.

Russo Brothers Endorses Anna Kendrick to Play Squirrel Girl

Anna-Kendrick-Squirrel-Girl-081916-Dragonlord.jpg

Anna Kendrick recently suggested that she’d make an excellent Squirrel Girl, one of the more obscure superheroes in the Marvel world. That might be a long shot campaign, but she’s already got two powerful boosters on her side: MCU keymasters and directors of the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War Joe and Anthony Russo.

“It would be perfect casting, and we’re huge Anna Kendrick fans,” Joe Russo told Yahoo Movies this week while promoting the upcoming Blu-ray/DVD release of the summer mega-hit Civil War.

The Squirrel Girl idea came up in a recent interview the Pitch Perfect star did with Net-A-Porter. “My brother sent me a Squirrel Girl comic because he thinks I should [play her],” she told the magazine. “I don’t know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!”

Soon afterwards, Kendrick’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World director Edgar Wright — the original helmer of Marvel’s Ant-Man — voiced his support on Twitter, writing, ‘Get @AnnaKendrick47 a Squirrel Girl film.’

As exciting as that idea might be, Anthony Russo quickly countered that the brothers have their “hands full trying to tell the story we have with our preexisting characters” in the 2018 supes ensemble Avengers: Infinity War. “Anthony would probably die from exhaustion if we introduced another character,” Joe said before Anthony hinted, “That’s not to say we’re not going to introduce a new character.”

Like, say, Captain Marvel, as has been widely speculated?

“If they ever cast that role, maybe,” Anthony replied, clearly joking. “Do you know if they’ve cast it yet?” The part, of course, has already gone to Room Oscar winner (and Kendrick’s Scott Pilgrim costar) Brie Larson, a casting that was made official during Marvel's panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July. Turning genuine, the co-director added, “That’s one we’re going to have to plead the fifth on.”

It would be really great if they ended one of the movies with Thanos killing someone. Doubt it happens though.

Sorry but Thor is nowhere near that kind of power level. The Beyonder, Thanos, Galactus and Celestials are in a different tier of power in comparison to Thor, at least 2 tiers above him. Odin is close to or on their level but not Thor unless they we are talking Rune King Thor, but thats an extremely powered up Thor and not the one we see 99% of the time. Even then guys like the Beyonder and Thanos with guantlet are still leagues above him.

Thor gets whooped by the Hulk on a regular basis in the comics. Although Thor usually holds back but still they are similar in power levels with Thor having a slight advantage due to having more abilities.

Still say infinity war is a battle for the stones, and vision will "die".
