How is at the expense of Jesus? For that to be true the joke would involve Pratt making fun of Jesus in a negative way. He simply asked him if he wanted him to say Jesus was his master. There was no insult to Jesus or religion in general in that joke.

Theres something called "acting" as well, Starlord isn't Pratt.

I took that as a reference to Stange's clothes as well obviously looking rather religious.

But Strange, and the other Avengers should have strategized how they can utilize Dormammu who is also hell bent on doing something to this universe into their plan.
{<huh} why would they do that?
Wasnt Mephisto in the Ghost Rider movie?
Those Ghost Rider movies were made by Sony, and outside of the MCU. The rights to the character went back to Marvel in 2013, and they've since rebooted him on Agents of Shield. Not sure if Mephisto is in that show.

edit: but even if he was I don't think we'll ever see the Marvel TV characters cross over into the movies.

Then they gave it up anyway (though I guess that was just long gaming it to get back later)

Or Strange should have gone back like 1000 years and got the stones before thanos (though again, not much of a movie i suppose, lol)

Have the comics ever explained why Strange cant do that?

Yeah, i am guessing that was due to the long game.
I think he saw that Tony had to live for them to have a shot of reversing things.

People were complaining about why Strange didn't use the Time stone, but there really wasn't much he could do but delay the inevitable.
Also, we all know the rule when it comes to time travel...you can't go back and alter things because you have no idea how it will effect the future. A world where Thanos never existed could somehow bring about an even worse future

Giving it up was the one way they ultimately win in the end

Nice

Why didn't Strange just portal back to Earth when he wanted to go home after they killed Maw?

Strange went over 14 mil + plans right? Could be that even doing something like that they still lost. Not to mention there are serious consequences for playing with time like that. Who knows what the consequences\changes would be of doing something like that.

I really enjoyed the little things about the movie here’s a list below:
1. Thor can understand the same language as Groot.
2. Captain American introduces himself when Groot speak, not knowing those are the only words he say
3. Characters development between Thor and Raccoon. It didn’t feel force but more of them having things in common.
4.Star Lord team vs Ironman Team
5. The orders of the gems and how they affect the others, ex- Thano had to get the time gem first in order to reverse Vision’s death. Otherwise, Thano would never be able to get mind gem since Vision was destroyed.

6. Soul gem greatly causes Thanos to show remorse and guilt over Gamora’s death.
7. The Collector’s death.
8. Ebony Maw was baddass
9. Captain America’s intro had audience going nuts
10. Thor creating the stormbreaker
11. When everyone fade and dies in the end, there weren’t any over dramatic crying and shouting, just more like shock
12. Stardlord attempted to be macho by imitating Thor’s voice

Thor arriving with Stormbreaker with the Avengers theme playing and Banner screaming "You are all screwed now!" was absolutely espetacular. Everyone clapped in my theater... Amazing.

I have no idea only thing I can think is that he can't go that far. Maybe same planet is ok but through the universe isn't possible? Seems Thanos could only do it because of the infinity stones not even his wizard could do that he still needed his ship to get back home.

That whole thing seemed ridiculous. So in this scenario they managed to incapacitate Thanos and almost get the gauntlet off but nope, in 14 million scenarios that can never actually happen. Lol in those 14 million scenarios, Thor never aims for the head.

It wasn't like Thanos was portrayed as unbeatable. I mean they almost stopped him and Thor and Hulk weren't even there.

In Doctor Strange Mordo says it allows them to travel throughout the multiverse, so regular universe shouldn't be so hard.

One thing I would change about the MCU overall is how easy it is for Strange to use the Time Stone's power. It should be a lot of effort. I like how IW toned the gauntlet down.

"Where is Gamora?"
"I'll do you one better: Who is Gamora?"
"I'll do you one better: Why is Gamora?"

My take would be that beating Thanos at that point was impossible and Strange's one chance was actually loosing to him ine exactly the way they did, the way he's talking to Stark at the end especially saying it was the only way seems to fit very much into this. Giving up the stone at that point keeps Stark alive and perhaps you could argue that having the confrontation reveals Thanos weakness with Gamora that seems likely to be a climax for the sequel.

I so want a replica Stormbreaker:cool:

Hmm that's weird then. Maybe Strange isn't that good yet? He did get sort of rushed to the position he's in now. That's really the only explanation for it other than it's just another plot hole.
