I kind of agree but really there was no better way to do it. You can either:

1. Do what they did

2. Make the characters stay dead which honestly would just ruin the marvel universe

3. Just so happen to make it so that everyone who is inconsequential dies but not the heroes. Which would still be a cop out IMO but even worse.

The way they did it was the best option IMO.

Its the kind of thing were the Russo';s had to assume that 95% of the audience would know this is going to be reversed but that doesn't mean it lacks any impact. I mean I know when Killmonger throws Black Panther off a waterfall he's not dead but that doesn't mean it lacks drama.

I suspect were actually going to start off the sequel will a good deal of fallout from that climax but beyond that as well is obviously allows the Russo's to slim down their cast to a level were they can focus more heavily on them. In theory I'd say the second film is actually a considerably easy job in terms of writing not having to juggle 20+ heroes.

Mark is a complete idiot. He actually did spoil Infinity War. He's in the middle of saying half but then changes it to everybody died. Don is so pissed at him and rightfully so.

Since they close previous thread, I want to bring up my question again.

Where is Dormammu, Mephisto, and the other Celestials in all this? I hope they bring them in the next round, and finish off Thanos.

I guess when you're working in a universe of mostly immortal beings under the Disney umbrella it doesn't make sense to actually have people dying or real consequences. I think it would create a more powerful film to do so but that's probably just my naive mind thinking that the mightiest being in that universe, Thanos, might actually murder Tony Stark or Steve Rodgers who are basically just men. And I don't think they should have actually killed Spiderman or Black Panther, clearly those are money making characters with immediate needs for future movies. But why not kill Tony? Why not kill Cap? These are characters that have run their course, been engaged in multiple battles that they could have likely died in now facing their greatest enemy and again they survive. Maybe having those characters in the plot for IW2 is the driving force but I think not having more impactful meaningful conflicts hold back the movie from being as good as it could be. Yes, Thanos got the stones and "killed" half of the universe but we already know it's BS because of who died.

There's a good chance they die in the next movie considering contracts are up after that. People did die though. Loki is dead, good chance Gamorra is dead also. Some people think she will come back I'm not so sure about that.

Really it doesn't matter because with the time stone they could bring everyone back to life. So even if all these heroes did die your just left with the plot hole of why not use the time stone to bring them back.

You're right about those two and I think those were the most powerful moments of the movie.

And you're right, the time stone can undo anything which just puts a big kaybash on the entire scenario.

I enjoyed the film, my main point was by "killing" off characters we know are coming back made it feel less impactful.

Agreed. I do think it would have been good to have at the very least 1 major death.

Are you talking about how he lived? I thought he was going to do die to. I love Iron Man but I was hoping he was going to do die there.

I'd rather they kill Cap, he's boring AF and Chris Evans is a C level actor.

I think both are leaving either way after #4 so I didn't care which one died in which movie just that one of them got, got in this movie.

i have not seen the panther movie, the last thor movie and dont even remember avengers 2. Can i still see this movie?

It occurred to me the other day that I think I like MCU Thanos more than comic Thanos. Comic Thanos is an incel, Death won’t give him that dusty old skeletal pussy he craves so he goes full psycho incel and just tries to kill everyone.

Death is a Stacy. Warlock is a Chad.

can you fill me in? cliffs?

i think i will rewatch avengers 2. I am just guessing that more relevant to the story than me needing to see the other 2 films. I am not as you can see really into these movies i dont like guardians of galaxy it trying to be funny just loses it to me.

i liked the captain america movies, and first Thor movie and hulk though oh and first iron man.

Sounds like you'll like most of the newer ones except for GOTG which does a lot of comedy.
