I kind of agree but really there was no better way to do it. You can either:
1. Do what they did
2. Make the characters stay dead which honestly would just ruin the marvel universe
3. Just so happen to make it so that everyone who is inconsequential dies but not the heroes. Which would still be a cop out IMO but even worse.
The way they did it was the best option IMO.
Its the kind of thing were the Russo';s had to assume that 95% of the audience would know this is going to be reversed but that doesn't mean it lacks any impact. I mean I know when Killmonger throws Black Panther off a waterfall he's not dead but that doesn't mean it lacks drama.
I suspect were actually going to start off the sequel will a good deal of fallout from that climax but beyond that as well is obviously allows the Russo's to slim down their cast to a level were they can focus more heavily on them. In theory I'd say the second film is actually a considerably easy job in terms of writing not having to juggle 20+ heroes.
