That is Av worthy:cool:

Part of me is disappointed Marvel made it so obvious that they are going to deus ex machina all these characters back again in the next movie. Killing off Black Panther, Spiderman, and GOTG made it blatantly obvious since these are all getting sequels. Now if they had killed off Iron Man and Captain America it would've made things interesting.

I am very certain Iron Man is going to die in the next movie though. He's a part of Strange's plan to defeat Thanos and I'm guessing that involves sacrificing himself.

Black Panther 2 starring Danai Gurira
Spider Man: Death of Uncle Ben
Guardians of The Galaxy: Sly's Ravagers

Die Hard movies all bad.

Lethal Weapon movies all bad.

Every James Bond and Borne movie bad.

Almost every Arnold Schwarzenegger movie bad.

When you go to a movie and know the good guys and star of the movie is likely to survive then that movie equals bad.

The flipside is when the good guy is Sean Bean. His movies are bad because you know up front he will die. <45>

Hahahha

The end end or the end of the Titan scene?
I think the answer to both is 'no', lol.

Ya he might not be on titan. since iron man and nebula were on that planet but who knows. I looked up that farm where thanos is at and it never gives a planet name

but if you watch the movie again as hes walking out you can see his scarecrow with the armor like in the comics

ahhh, so the scarecrow had Thanos' armour on it. Gotcha. I vaguely remember that; but didn't make a connection. Cheers.

Oh my God - Thanos killed me! The bastard!:mad:

I knew I should have stuck with my Red Skull avatar...:(
Did you lose it in the theatre for Red Skull's cameo? I gasped and had the biggest shit eating grin on my face, we've been talking about that for years!!

I was ready to buy in until Spider-Man went. That pulled me right out of the moment.

I wish they had cranked the Zeppelin for this scene

I'm so glad after all these movies where he's a glorified side character, Thor is finally getting some respect for the god that he is

The more I think about it, the more I love the portrayal of Thanos and The Black Order(Ebony Maw in particular). I would put them second only to Ledger's Joker as far as being a viable threat, while also being captivating to watch.

But how do you rate the Avengers as villains?

Since there's going to be time traveling they should title it Avengers: Forever. You get that 'four' in there and you carry on the tradition of titling movies after comics that they vaguely resemble.

Dormammu teams up with Aunt May to make a decent meatloaf in Avengers 14, the upcoming crossover featurette on Iron Chef.
Would be cool too if Mephisto came into the scene and Dormammu and Mephisto bang Aunt May. She goes full slut and takes demon cock for a chance at immortality and fame. Cant let her twerp nephew have all the glory.

So you make a guess, (a guess I would sig and Av bet you are wrong about) and you are so sure about your guess you say it taints the movie for you because it makes it obvious. Ok.

My guess is Strange saw one very remote way to win which involved the ultimate sacrifice and gamble. He must risk letting Thanos win in this first exchange for the hero's lead by Tony to get a chance to win in the next and undue much of the damage done. I think in the end the hero's will win (d'uh) but it will come at significant cost with many of the hero's left dead in the end. Maybe some type of sacrifice particularly by Stark as he "dives on the grenade" to finally live up to Captain America's standards.

But all of mine is just a guess too and I wont say the movie is less to me because I assume my guess is correct and therefore Part 2 holds little exciting or new for me.

Yeah pretty much, I don't view this plot as "cheap" because it still leaves plenty of room for the actual resolution to have some weight to it, all it does is explain Strange's motivation for giving up the stone.

Again I think for all the praise the film is smarter than its getting credit for in terms of deconstructing each characters motivation similar to Luke in Empire Strikes Back. The situation with not killing Vision is I think quite deliberate, I mean if they'd wanted to they could have introduced some mechanism where by destroying the stone was a complex process similar to removing it which they needed to hold of Thanos forces to buy time for. They didn't do that because the whole situation was ment to show that Cap's morals will not allow him to kill an innocent, especially not to get someone else to kill someone they love.

Like Luke trying to save his friends this is something we typically see come out ontop in the end yet here it doesnt, Thanos doesn't just beat Cap(and characters like Widow he's basically converted to his view) physically but also morally, his supreme pragmatism over Cap's supreme idealism.

It will be interesting to see exactly how they deal with this in the sequel, Thanos being eaten away at by Gamora's death seems likely but what are characters like Cap and Stark going to do? I mean the obvious way is dying but arguably that isn't a moral test and is something they've been prepared to do from the start. Indeed also interesting to see how they show the effect of the cull, either on earth or maybe on Gamora's planet that actually its not a paradise and the collective memory of that degree of loss/ruthlessness is a negative.

lol the character has been rebooted twice already and they finally got it right, zero chance they would fuck with that now. Not to mention Marvel doesn't even own the rights to the character.

That's more I think going back to Stark's motivations, he's always been more focused on spefic people he cares about and this is a failiure as it shows Parker is still just a kid not ready to die for the cause.

I left the theatre early, but most people seemed to really enjoy it

Didn't even stay the whole time huh? Wow. My kid told me she wasn't as impressed as everyone else. Too much hype ruined it for her. I have yet to see it. I was going to wait until I had to see Infinity War but I didn't want to risk getting spoiled.

Are you sure Thanos is unbiased? I tried on my cell phone and he killed me but I survived when I tried on my desktop.
I got "You spared Thanos".

That'll teach him to mess with a Sherbro!
