How was Vision getting tore up so effortlessly? The dude is made out of vibranium and is one of the heaviest hitters on the entire team and they were tearing him up like it was nothing.

I think that's why he was sucker-punched back in Edinburgh. They wanted to give him a game-ending injury right at the start, to prevent him from being able to defend himself and the Stone. It also meant the rest of the Avengers had to protect him instead of being able to concentrate all their efforts on attacking Thanos

One thing has been bugging me since the first Thor movie...

In the first Thor movie we see Odin and the Asgardian army defeat the Frost Giants in Norway, before travelling to Johutenheim and finishing them off. After killing most of the Frost Giants - "You were knee-deep in Johuten blood!" - Odin finds Loki as a baby. In the next scene we see Odin telling his version of the story to Thor and Loki as children.

The problem with this is that the battle against the Frost Giants is supposed to have taken place in 965 AD. By that time, the Norse already worshipped Thor as the God of Thunder - even though he's not supposed to have been born when the battle occurs.

Things are further confused in Infinity War, when Thor tells Rabbit he's 1500 years old. This would actually make him a young(by Agardian standards)man during the battle against the Frost Giants, and would fit in with the Viking's worship of Thor.

Not a huge plot hole, but it does annoy me

Some funny stuff after I saw the movie. When I was lining up to enter the theater, there was alot of kids all giddy and excited. Needless to say, after the movie majority of them where dumbfounded. I think the two kids sitting near me was even crying after it registered to them what happened.

Anyway, I think the Russo Bros made another great marvel flick. They have a knack for bridging together these established characters and weaving a solid storyline to hook you in for the climax. There was some light hearted moments and dialogues but its well placed because of the tensive and heavy atmosphere initiating this film.

The Thor scenes are my favorite. The drama, his rise to power, the setting was fantastical more so than sci-fi. I like it.

I always thought that Marvel will ruin another villian with Thanos given their record but Thanos here was menacing and unstopabble. You know when he appears some of them heroes might not make it out alive. They even manage to make a compelling story on his journey for the stones for a short amount of time.

I like the ending. It was not a typical superhero ending, much darker then even Snyder could have come up with. As much as I hate the word “subversion” it subverted in a positive way the typical superhero happy endings. Rian Johnson should take notes.

Anyway, 9/10. Lets see what they can come up with next.

The psychological effect it had on the viewers during and post movie speaks for itself.

The way it was executed was 10 years worth the wait.

It looked like they actually animated some legit choreography instead of the usual overhand right uppercut tough man shit you normally get with CGI monsters fighting.

This is the best MCU film

Nope. It was missing a set tone, almost a theme, that made it flow as good as a couple other marvel movies. Ragnarok has the 80s synth that borrowed in part from GOTG, but added to it, and it created a tone that was a ride in itself. GOTG movies have the same type of thing. The avengers, for me, never had that. This movie works enough of it in, along with other strong elements, to be the best avengers movie..

But you cannot say in such definite terms that this is the best marvel movie. Some of the dialogue was actually real clunky at times. Some of the characters non-super personality is a sore spot. You are right about it being good though. It's not bad, it's good.

Just out of curiosity, what would you consider a 9 or 10/10 movie? Are you just not into super hero flicks, or is it just this movie in particular. Not hating on your score btw. Each to his own.

Your "tone" argument isn't very convincing. That sounds more like you personal preference/opinion. Can you give facts based arguments to show that another Marvel movie is superior? In terms of entertainment IW is hard to beat. It's nonstop action. The plot flows very well from tense scene to great action without unnecessary filler. The villain is the best in any marvel movie hands down. The stakes are higher than they have ever been. The acting is great with many great emotional moments that actually moved people to tears. I hold other Marvel movies in high regard but I'm struggling to think of one that accomplishes it's goals as well as this one. It was such a gripping story.

I bet I am not the only one that was shocked that 2 hours and 40 minutes had gone by when it ended. I was sitting there thinking there was another 20 minutes or so left. It says a lot to movie when a movie is that long and the time just flew by.

It went by quickly. Good pacing for sure.

Has anyone mentioned/did anyone else notice that in the first New York fight scene when Spidey gets off the bus and is fighting, someone asks him amidst all the action “who are you?” and he replied “I’m Spider-Man from the future!”

Thanos must undo the finger snap and some of them will have to go back to that moment for some reason, I think. There must be two Spidermen in New York at that time. Maybe to protect Dr Strange?

It's hard to really judge this as a regular movie. Nothing like this has been done in the history of cinema. A 10 year build up to tell a story over 18 movies. Never been done before. All things considered I think the movie flowed amazingly well. The humor felt more natural than Whedons and Gunns movie. And the dramatic emotional moments felt earned.

My criticism were..

Black Order were trash except for Maw. Proxima didn't need to be CGI. Thano's motivations were a bit flimsy, Dinklage's character was kind whack.

Everything else was solid to excellent. The cast chemistry was amazing and felt natural. They got more things right than they did wrong.

I was thinking it might be more powerful than Mjolnir. But still, to punk the Infinity Gauntlet....

I believe she did wield it. Though Odin put the worthiness enchantment on it way after her initial reign with him, so I'm still trying to figure out how it's possible for her to catch it, let alone break it like it was nothing. She obviously wasn't worthy. I don't believe Thor could have broken it even though he is worthy (granted, he's nerf'd to all hell). And being worthy shouldn't have an affect on it's durability, even with the wielder.

I don't believe there is a worthiness enchantment on Stormbreaker. Groot picked it up fairly easily, and we never saw Thor speak to the hammer, enchanting it.

Groot picked up the pieces of stormbreaker..... and put them together, it became stormbreaker when it was complete

Widow's gross line felt completely ridiculous to me for example. And most of Panthers dialogue felt like it needed to be redone.. Still, I find myself not having or wanting to talk about the movie much, since it brought m my favorite arc and character. Not sure what to critize or analyze.

PS: I haven't gone to see a movie where people laugh out loud in a while. It's so damn annoying when I'm trying to hear the scene. Why the fuck are people laughing so loud? Fuck.

I fucking hate theaters. It's like people have laugh offs to see who can laugh the loudest. The theater I was in yesterday also decided to clap every time a superhero made his first appearance. I hate people.
