see I was thinking that was where he went after snapping his fingers.... you know where he seen Gamorra as a kid. Made me think that maybe because he sacrificed Gamorra for the stone, that somehow her soul is inside the stone(just my personal theory though).
Yeah this seems highlight likely to me and I suspect that's likely to tie into the climax of the second film rather than being an afterthought way to get her back. I don't really care for killing characters forever for the sake of it, if a character feels like they should be dying to complete there story and carries on that's a negative but just killing people off for the sake of it is IMHO cheap writing, if your doing your job right then tension and drama can still certainly exist.
Honestly though I tend to think that in terms of writing challenges the details of how Thanos work is undone are probably much less of a challenge that this film was. Wheadon gets credit for bringing the original Avengers together but really that was still a group of protagonists small enough to fit into a single plot thread relatively easily. This film was vastly more challenging than that with what 20+ protagonists who are all pretty well developed as characters? theres really no way that number could ever be contained in a single plot thread without ignoring most of them which this film to its credit never really did.
It has me looking forward to the sequel even more knowing the Russo's basically got to pick exactly the characters they wanted to work with for that, I would say as well that film actually seems a better bet for characters being "dead dead" seeing as its going to have a lot more time to focus on them individually..
